I am thoroughly enjoying your videos with Marley. I appreciate the collaboration with other horseman you trust in “dialing it in” with her. Ryan you are a wonderful trainer and selfless TH-camr sharing these folks with us.
Great informative video I see so many horse trainers that just run the horses around in a round pen but really appreciate the details of forward and over of the whole body and all the parts in harmony
This is really cool, generous and I'm hoping helpful. I like this host for his courage and self belief, combined with an eagerness to hear criticism, learn from others, and keep growing in his own work. Excellent. Take it from the man.
Loving the progress with this mare. She shows a lot of will and honesty, especially after the trail obstacles you did with her for the first time, to now working with someone else new and offering compliance and some feel. What a testament to your method of horsemanship! Just wanted to add that around 6:26, the audio absolutely ramps up and sounds super blown out. I had to turn the volume way down to be able to understand what Jake was saying, and even then it was hard. By 13:08 the audio returned to normal and the video was much easier to listen to/understand. Best of luck, and love the videos, Ryan!
I am trying to edit, no success: I meant Marley is peeking from behind RR. And of course she is peAking too, in her preparation to do well in a world hyperdominated by humans.
Lick and chew does not mean they are "relaxed". It means that they are nervous. That absolutely drives me nuts when I hear people teaching the lick and chew means relaxing. Ask Pat Puckett about it.
where are your videos? I always thought it was better for them to release the tight mouth by licking and chewing, but you prefer the tight mouth? edit for spelling
The issue is it can also mean they are nervous but does not negate the fact they are relaxed. It just depends on the horse's personality and how they demonstrate what's going on in their head and how they are feeling. Like people they express their feelings differently.
@teri6193 you can't be nervous and relaxed at the same time 😁 appreciate your thoughts though. And horses they do not express their feelings that differently. horses are horses. Speak the language and you're pretty much golden.
@@PetPrepRadioShow who said anything was happening at the same time?? Training regardless of species is the same. It's all individual. There's a probability that a relaxed hose will chew, but nothing is 100%. I was responding to the woman who was confused and not understanding that she had learned differently. The worst thing a trainer can do is believe every horse (animal) is the same.
@teri6193 I think there is a misunderstanding. When horses chew it is a sign of nervousness and anxiety. It does not mean that they are relaxed. Whoever has been teaching that is wrong. It's an injustice to the horse when they are anxious and people think they aren't and you try to teach something. Have you ever tried to learn something when you're nervous and anxious? Horses and people process anxiety and fear just the same way and in the same part of the brain. There's research to support this statement and this is why using horses for people with PTSD and other mental health challenges works so well. All due respect. We are all here to learn about the horse and to be fair to the horse. Peace 🕊️
I don't care for Jake as a trainer or a TH-cam or a person for that matter. he is as fake as it gets and I just don't like his style. some people rub you wrong Jake rubs me wrong.

Edit Alert: There is a sudden VOLUME increase at 6:30 that is pretty disturbing.
So fun getting to work together, what a great horse!
My two favorite horse trainers. Marley is making wonderful progress. ❤
Ryan, this is really cool to see you bring others into a project. I hope this networking continues.

Really cool to see you both working with Marley, fun!
Nothing gets me on TH-cam quicker than this collab! Every time you two are together, I get really excited to learn!
I liked her from the start, she’s opinionated and has character and charisma and she is very clever . Great work together !

Yeah he was peaking the mic for whatever reason. I assume it just moved but my poor ear drums x__x
So great to see how horses can do the same thing even if the method is different when the intent is the same.
Beautiful work guys.
I so enjoy watching both of you trainers with her.
Love these videos! My two favorite mentors together!
Yea! Jake is here! 🎉😊
Excellent to break it down!
1+1=2 great guys working an awesome horse! love it!!!
Terrific ground work and beautiful connection and rapport.
Gee, a month to go. I feel like that's coming up fast. I enjoy all the collab videos
This horse must be thoroughly broken in by now, she's traveled a whole lot of miles!
She seems so smart. I love her 🤎🤎🤎
I like these collaboration videos.

That's her with her winter coat.
She's there under that thick winter coat :)
Whatever seasonal coat she's in, there's no mistaking that scar!
@@JackOllie4 Yes, you are so right. Marley was branded by a bear or bobcat before she was a Marley.
I could hardly hear you your microphone was real low, Jakes was fine

So happy to see Jake of Pear tree ranch, he is so good with any horse that comes to him.
I don't care for Jake as a trainer or a TH-cam or a person for that matter. he is as fake as it gets and I just don't like his style. some people rub you wrong Jake rubs me wrong.
Jake is very good in my opinion. Maybe watch more of his videos.
And paying it forward by rubbing most of the audience wrong, hey?
That's an awfully rude comment to make about a guest to Ryan's channel.
