Building a country is a slow process (unless you have oil, gas or become a tax haven). You should also consider the aftermath of colonial exploitation as well.
Most people are sheep. You need leaders who foresee beyond short term gains and goals and sacrifice a little for the sake of their civilization. Which is a rare commodity amongst humans across the world.
Very thought provoking video.. I rejected a job there many years ago… because I was from UK I would have automatically been on a high salary.. it went against all of my morals and values… together with many other things .. thanks for high lighting these points 🙏🏽
my grandfather was industrious and traveled a lot. from my 12 to my 47 we went to Dubai twice a year and had golden times there. we literally saw the sand change and disappear into huge buildings. he had bought a house to stay more among the culture. But I had a rule in my teenage years , never fall in love in Dubai because I will never be able to protect you. rule 2 I always had to take someone with me or I was not allowed to leave the house. in europe you can talk out a disagreement and I am way too mouthy and quick of tongue that it was better for myself to have someone with me. since his death I never went back. I already work in hotels so don't like all the crowds. UAE needs more Emiratis working as plumbers, janitors and cafeteria chai boys. This suits more of their work ethics.
They were doing these jobs back in the 60s and earlier. The current generation won't do these jobs..
