Hi I´m Alfredo from Mexico and I introduce to my girlfriend Christianna from South Africa the amazing singer Dimash from Kazakhstan!
She was reluctant to react to anything, but at the end, she just wanted to keep watching more videos of Dimash which I´ll upload later

мне очень нравится смотреть на реакции людей....но впервые послушав Димаша я толком и не понял за что его все так боготворят,мне понадобилось немного времени что бы понять кто он такой и полюбить его всем сердцем. Многие люди в наше время не привыкли к качественной музыке,репчик и попса у всех голове. Так что не обижайтесь на таких людей,просто они пока еще не поняли. Если вы не в курсе то даже на его родине его задвигали и считали что он "не так" поет но мир то не обмануть...
I think Dimash was second only because he was their first singer from another country. Politics But everyone knew he was #1. This was another reason given: bird night 1 month ago (edited)
I would like to tell u the reason why Dimash couldn't win the Champion. The winner is a very famous chinese female singer. She is fifty years old but look still young. Dimash was first run on total points at esp.1-10. At the end the audience choose their famous singers. It is ok because Lady Lam was perfect too. Dimash got a very good start of his music career in China. (But in our minds, Dimash was #1)
Actually, Dimash was not the first singer from another country. 'I am a Singer' had singers from other countries as well in previous seasons. For example Shila Amzah (Malaysia) in Season 2 (2014). She did quite an impact as well in the competition, but ultimately got third place in the final.
Yes, it is hard for singers from another countries to win in the competition. However, they still 'won' for example Dimash is now popular all around the world, more than Lady Lam.

I read somewhere he lost points because of his pronunciation of English and perhaps French. Both are good but not on the level of his musical skill.

she doesn’t feel music... no reaction... i think who feels music immediately react when dimash is singing this music.
This was actually the first performance for the China competition's new season of The Singer 2017 [which was why the crowd was excited for it to start at the beginning] -- but what is often overlooked is that he was pretty much a complete unknown to that audience [he's from Kazakhstan and didn't speak any Chinese at that time], and he was the least expected or anticipated to do much since he was pretty much unknown to the audience [which is why he was placed to go first -- the most anticipated singers were set to perform last on that episode].
This was the first time the China audience and other performers in the back room on the show heard him sing. Between his first performance ["S.O.S." in French] and his 2nd performance [Vita's "Opera 2" in Russian], he quickly won their hearts completely.

It is a contest in China and to date they have never had a non-Chinese speaker win this contest, even though they keep inviting non-speakers of Chinese to perform. Dimash just won the most popular singer award in China...the top honor So even thought he did not win 1st place on this show, he has won 1st place in the hearts of the Chinese and that is much better..

He came in second because the Chinese audience/judges awarded first place to Sandy Lam (Hong Kong) who has been a pop singer for about 40 years and was a sentimental favorite (and a good singer - but not as good as Dimash, from Kazakhstan)!...Dimash was brought in as a rrelatively unknown singer. The initial order they performed in was based on how well they were expected to do, with the favorites being saved for last - Dimash performed first! In other performances, Dimash performs pop, rock, and some epic ballads...the series of acts was designed to show each singer's technical and performance abilities. And also a huge thank you because you are right - reactors like you have done a wonderful job spreading the word. Dimash named his fans "Dears." It was against the law for a foreigner to win the contest. He was from Kazakhstan, so he didn't have a chance to win.
Boy she really didn't seem too impressed with Dimash!!!
Dimash didnt won the show because he resigned. He was told by the producers that's he wont compete against children and that's was a lie. He said that's he will make space for younger competitors and he wants to quit.
He came in second because he was not native Chinese--though the other singers and the one who won were excellent. That's how it is in China.
If you watch his performance of "Adagio" the Chinese woamn with her head in her hands and her cheeks blown out with worry is the woman who won.
I would not be surprised if the organizers of the competition predetermined that a Chinese singer was going to win, since he is a foreigner.
He came second, in my opinion, because a Chinese contest would never accept a foreigner as a winner .. my opinion
