When I first saw the study I honestly thought the same... this is just part of a general slowdown, but they separated their data into 2 groups - separated by a good 3 months - first text-based jobs where ChatGPT is effective, then later for image-based roles when Dall-E/MidJourney came to the fore. It looks like it could be legit - but I also think both things could be true... tighter economy/labour market and super early effects of AI.
