Eles chegaram no Brasil e escolheram cidades diferentes .
Meu avô Augusto Arthur Reikdal escolheu área rural . no Paraná.onde o clima é parecido com a Islândia .frio .

@@suelykrup3094: In "islendingabok.is" (The Icelandic book) there is information about all Icelanders.
You probably have to be Icelandic to be able to register there (?)
I found this there: Magnús Valmar Halldór Árnason Söndahl - Born 16. sept. 1865. Died 30. april 1921. Was in the parish of Hof (Hofsókn) Vopnafjordur (Vopnafjörður), North Múla County. Moved to Brazil with his parents when he was eight years old in 1873. Engineer, linguist and for a time district governor in Brazil. Created an international language that he called "Unity". First he had a French wife and they had four children together. He later had five children with his second wife Maria Estella de Carvalho. He took the name Söndahl.
      Here's a picture of him: myndir.heraust.is/fotoweb/archives/5003-Mannamyndir/Mannamyndir/60-0662.jpg.info
Here's a article from the (main) newspaper Morgunblaðið (Morning Newspaper) about Icelanders in Brazil where his names comes up: www.mbl.is/greinasafn/grein/378704/
There are many “Reikdal” in Iceland and maybe more difficult to pinpoint that family exactly. But in Iceland the “Reikdal” name is written and pronounced “Reykdal”.
