Literally caught between a number of rocks and a hard place, this former campsite is eroding into the river on one side, while an unstable hillside rained down large rocks and two metres of silt in a landslide three years ago.
Its wrecked cabins used to house road workers pre-WW2, then it became a haven for hunting, hiking, fishing and tourism.
