    A Beta is already out
    (no maps, just spawn npcs and play around with them. Use the "impulse commands" I provided in the mod folder to spawn any npc on any map)

    In OP4 "welcome to black mesa" you can see how they'd take some time before controlling their host, not just right off the bat

    What you can do with the zombification is delay, giving believable time for the transformation.
    When the headcrab latches on to the victim, have it attach to the model and have it play its death animation.
    Then have it sit there for 30 seconds, maybe with barnacle digesting sounds.
    After that, swap the victim+headcrab model for the new zombie model. Mask the swap by gibbing the old model and have the zombie "birthed" by starting it in its laying down pose, when it stands up.

      Already did all this, the mod has a beta out which you can test. Check the mod's page
      Now the lay down animation play in 1 second, still need to work on that, but for the most part the zombification is working AND it can be turned off by a cheat. I even added zombie sp force.

    Nice! also I like that you made a engineer zombie. Is it possible you could give him the ability to explode when you shoot the gastank? Like how he is in opposing force

      mabye have the npc wander around aimlessly making pain sounds with a headcrab latched onto their head for a couple of seconds before becoming fully-formed zombies.

    The headcrab kills the host first and then rips their chest open to feed it, you should make it so they have to kill them first and then they take control instead of instantly

      they don't kill them, they actually stay alive during it and live until the headcrab detaches or is killed

    Implementing a 'parasitic takeover period' where the headcrab jumps onto any type of human, then falls unconcious and starts the process of taking it over wouldn't be that hard to code, rather than just the headcrab jumping onto a human and instantly making a zombie.

      I took the animation from the human grunt's. Surprisingly it worked with the barney skeleton without any single error while compiling.
      The real challenge is going to be having a throw animation for the HD model.

      A mix between blue (blue shift) and green (opposing force)as the original plan for the mod is to include opfor elements in blue shift, thus the name bleen came to be.

      Yeah, already fixed 2 months ago and even managed to make the victim lose conscious for half a minute before transforming. Still can't figure out how to make the zombie play the "wake-up" animation.

    pretty good, but it still needs an 'incubation' time. The transformation seems too abrupt, but i understand it would take too much time if we respect the lore. Maybe make the character fall on the ground once he gets headcrabbed, then come back up again fully transformed. Just throwing ideas here.

      You can try the mod if you want, a beta is out, you won't find any bs maps to try, but I added other stuff for the cheat console.

      I can't promise an exact date, I was considering to release in early access or beta state since I've took so long. The main idea now turned to have fun with the npcs than just being a blue shift campaign

      the barney weapons is for cheats and fun to be specific. If you know how to use "bspguy" then you gonna have lots of sun addting whatever you want on any map (including hl1 and expansions). Ido plan to release the FGD.
      if not I can tell you, bspguy is fun to use.

      I am not using an app. I am simply editing what is called the game's codes and used programs such as milkshape and crowbar to add weapons on the barney model.

      I thought about it before. There are available HD models to use but sadly no one made an LD version yet.
