From above the world of "Cars" comes "Disney's Planes," an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty's not exactly built for racing-and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty's courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar. "Disney's Planes" takes off in theaters in 3D on Aug. 9, 2013, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
this is arguably one of the most underrated movies of all time and it deserves more love than what it got

Music-Only Trailers needs to be a thing now. Not only did this trailer not spoil much, it also showcases how brilliant the film's music is going to be.
This film will be an inspriation not only to those who wish to be able to fly, but also to those who wish to be able to do what no one else thinks they can do.

My favorite Disney movie as a kid! Love the Planes franchise, and especially the theme song!

For the life of me I cannot figure out why Disney has not used this gorgeous score as part of the soundtrack for their "Soarin" attraction at EPCOT.
They don't even need to mention Planes at all...they already use scores from other movies (like Apollo 13) without naming them.

In fact, they were going to do trains, but then a created was on a flight and wondered if they should do planes instead. He contacted the other creator who said, “if there’s anything I love more than trains, it’s planes!”
Dusty and Lightning McQueen are so similar. They both race, almost sound the same and have the same personalities. Later they also meets Lil Dipper and Cruz Ramirez. They both are fan girls of them, have almost the same voice and personalities. The similarities are so close.
I think this is one of the best Disney movies I’ve ever seen this film definitely deserved more love.

It's not easier, not even the smallest bit. Knowing how to use the software is not enough. Modeling each and every single object, texturing, rigging (setting bone structure in character for moving), setting every object and character onto scene, lighting, Animating it, rendering, and post-production. And making a story for a 3D follows an exact same principle as for a 2D. More the available budget affects the outcome. This was done from $50 Million. Wreck-it Ralph was done from $165 Million.

Walt Disney studios, this was just the best trailer of Disney’s Planes ever! Mark Mancina did such a good job making this music.
This was one of the best movies I have ever scene and I'm 18. I do training in fixed wing and helicopters and I am going to become a civilian trained EMS Helicopter pilot. Many people say the military is the only way, but like dusty, I'll make it work. This was really an inspiring movie and I loved it.

I'm 30yrs old but being a big aviation buff and taking computer animation courses in college I really want to see this
I'm being serious here. I liked Cars and Cars 2. Not that much, but enough to be worth the watch. This Planes film looks rather interesting, and the design for the locomotive (A British-built, Himalayan locomotive) Is indeed interesting.

It is my favorite because my dad and I both love airplanes and it is about having courage and showing that you really can do more than what you are built for.
I love flying, too. I enjoy Disney "UP". Sound like this is my another "must see" moive.
I get some of the complaints, but I have always liked avionics and think this will be a pretty cool movie!

And I kept wanting to have more and more of those type of characters...It’s one of the ideas, that there will be an ongoing series. It almost starts getting into this thing where we fall in love with these plane characters, we want to see more and more stories with them. And then you start doing other vehicles and stuff like that."

Man... I love planes... I love flight... and I'd love a CG movie about aviation. But anthropomorphized planes...? It just brings back scary memories of Jay Jay the Jet Plane. Can't say I'm sold on this, unfortunately.
