    The Catholic Church needs a renewal now more than ever. Eucharistic adoration, confession, and pious devotions like chaplets and the Rosary need a come back. Pray without ceasing!!

    Mary has told us at all her apparitions and now through Father Scheier too that we need to do penance, pray, go to confession, and fast. Still we do not listen. And I have to include myself in that sometimes. We have to be honest with ourselves and then get out and do what we’re be asked!

    This is so true and needs to be heard all over the world. Most times at Mass the homily is always about happiness, peace and joy, which is great to hear. We then are been given the impression that their is noting to fear, "its a free bus ride to heaven" People can look disinterested at Mass, others are strolling in late, and some leaving before the final Blessing. All because most priests will never preach on sin. Also funerals are a big celebration and all about heaven, when its a wonderful opportunity to preach on Purgatory. Its sad, and because priests are becoming so afraid to offend and make people uncomfortable, many are been lost and few are been saved.

      God is all powerful Jesus was the sacrifice for all sins I pray for everyone no one deserves hell. I pray that my time here is short and that my son and I will go to heaven quite shortly. I pray that during my time here I can help be preventative to others because I truly wish God had chosen to prevent the terrible evils in my life that I did not choose.

    WOW!! so many of the thoughts and concerns which I'd kept to myself for years.... are now clearly being expressed by this priest, and he has this directly from Jesus and the Blessed Virgin! This is the truth that the Church has so long needed to hear!
    Parishioners everywhere must pray for their priests!

    Right now I have a priest who's line up for confession is lined up to the back of the church. He has holy hour's and most parishioners receive the Eucharist on the tongue kneeling. But then I go to another church on Saturday's and for Confession on the days I sleep in and miss morning confession at my home parish, and there's only a few. Father Steven has jolted me deeply. I'm trying to remember my sins from the past. I'm going to try my best not to worry about the way others view me. I'm willing to lose my job if it means pleasing God. I'd rather be homeless than be cast into hell. Even sending this video to my own syblings is going to cause serious backlash from them. All I want is to please God and not hurt anyone through my word's, and even in my heart.

    Most excellent. This message is very much like if not identical to Fr. Malichi Martin's last remarks before his death, especially of what is taking place from the very top of the Catholic Church in Rome. In fact all that is mentioned I experienced and have maintained my distance from most priest because I see them a men of leisure never have I ever heard one speak of heaven or hell, venial or mortal sins, not even doctrine. Many freemasons will not like this message. Remain Blessed.

    God bless Fr. Steven Scheier. This is not an easy message to share; as the truth can upset people sometimes...but we need to hear it to improve our characters and to reduce sin in our lives. I think he is quite right about psychology (and psychiatry) telling people that guilt is harmful and to blame our parents, etc. Absence of guilt makes a person dangerous in that they feel free to walk all over others; and it is dangerous to ourselves in that we could forget to repent and confess our wrongs.

    • @finallythere100
      @finallythere100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, so true! But the good side of it is that may of those very people who find this hard to hear are, on some level, also yearning to hear the uncompromised truth. Blessings,

    Amen ,late Father Steven ! I'm French and the situation is roughly the same in my country . I was hurt , shocked to realize that in my parish very few people go to confession . The priest are no longer exhorting people to confess as saint curé of Ars used to do ( he saved so many souls by doing so ) . Barely 10 people showed up for adoration . When I first came to my church there was no rosary prayer time . I created 2 groups of rosary prayers via an app ( Rosario ) and then the new curate decided to make a rosary prayer time on wednesdays . I was shocked to realize that many people consider this prayer as "old fashion " and useless . But the situation can improve . I pray for it everyday . Adoration , confession and praying the rosary this is the way to remain on the right path . God bless everyone 🙏🙏

      Thank you so much, dear Father Scheier. I first saw this a couple of years ago but I like to come back and re-read it every once in a while. I don’t think most of the changes Father mentioned have been made in many parishes. My husband and I are moving just so we can live in a parish where there is a respectful Mass, with kneelers, and where we have the good fortune of Perpetual Adoration. I lived in that particular town once before and I took 2 hours every week, from 2 to 4 a.m., for a few years and it was the most spiritually rewarding time of my life.
      What Father Scheier says is so true. I can only wish and pray that all parishes in the U.S. made the reforms he speaks of and the Blessed Mother asked for.

    God Bless Fr. Steven for seeking Grace filled approval of Jesus Christ;
    and repel seeking mere human approval & acceptance.
    When I was 7 years old; an abused child very afraid at night --- I woke up one night with a feeling of peace that I knew was from Jesus Christ.
    But I won't give my whole testimony... but around 2003 I fell into much rationalization and sin; because of a yearning for love and acceptance.
    I had a dream, that I was a branch on The Tree of Life, being cut off into the Eternal Flames of Hell. But he other branches were interceding for me.
    This was 20 years after I had a dream, in a sinful situation of despair, in 1982 when I heard a firm Gentle Voice, from above in a swirling Golden Light, with me laying down in a grayish room; that said, why are you hurting your mother?
    I don't know why I am Grace so much by the Tender Mercies of God;
    but I repented deeply last Divine Mercy Week; and every since live more and more a devoted life of prayer. Confession often. Staying dedicated to a Sacredness of Life witness; striving my best to raise awareness - which I have been involved with for 20 years - more actually. But in 1995, before I even heard of Evangelium Vitae; probably because I learned from EWTN, I felt a calling to be as involved as possible.
    _____
    But why am I bring this up? Because recently, with more and more of the peace of Jesus Christ conforming by His Grace; a willing cheerful obedient repentant, reparation - seeing more clearly the crutches I rationalized of harm done to me by others a deep willingness to forgive anyone who harmed me; ____
    I was laying in my room; it was dusk; the room had a grayish ambiance; and I felt the Consolation of The Lord Jesus; and expectantly all those dreams came into my mind. He Graced me with a sense that; had I not heeded those dreams; and not let the witness of 'walking the walk,' friends, public figures, and family that I admire___
    I would have fell into damnation; that The Holy Angels & Saints, like Joseph & Mary and Michael The Arch Angel - all the Cloud of Witnesses - including those on earth justified by Jesus Christ who sincerely by Grace are growing in His Virtue; by His Grace as intercessors, participate in the Only Divine Mediation of Jesus Christ.
    Had I despised the intercessors, I would have despised His Redemptive Merits; with rationalization - (like rationalization of justifying gratifying myself physically); or being complacent regarding sins of omission. Like letting entertainment be too much to interfere with my prayer life; and so on.
    ___
    He Graced me with an inner peace, that I cannot describe. My Covenant Love; for him with great joy has grown in leaps and bound. The same is true of my neighbors. Jesus Christ, helped me discern that yes, I rightly prayed, longed, and worked for justice for the poor --- but because of my rationalizing - I didn't know enough to pray with the same Grace of The Holy Spirit with tears sometimes, for the salvation of souls. To ardently pray, for children increasingly generation after generation recently; not being guided to an informed conscience.
    ___
    I spend most of my hours in prayer, study; writing to others regarding these things.
    I pray for The Church; for the sustained sign the Holy Spirit inspired John Paul ii to direct us toward implementing Evanglelium Vitae into all pastoral, educational, charitable - all works of The Church to every highway and hedgerow. The Gospel of Life; needs to be assertively taught from every teacher, every ambo, pulpit, and podium in The Church. The flood from the mouth of the red dragon to swallow The Church with propaganda and pragmatics; at the expense of teaching for raising awareness to conscience; creating changes in laws and practice at the expense of teaching the God given value, dignity, and Sacredness of every human life from the moment of conception - complacent to teach the grave moral evil of complacency toward tens of thousands of helpless children worldwide, being brutally murdered in the womb or late term just outside the womb - in an immense bloodbath every single day ---- blaming others, railing at the darkness, while we watch TV or other recreation - excusing our conscience with pragmatics where we give our consent to power --- all this immense omission is an immense sin that pierces the clouds to Heaven.
    Oh Jesus Christ,
    Beloved Redeemer;
    forgive us;
    bring us into repentance and reparation;
    with all the freedoms You Graced us with;
    and help us join with those who labor day and night;
    for The Gospel of Life, for raising awareness,
    for the Salvation of souls, and protection of the helpless.
    Help us to stop rationalizing personal sin addictions;
    for You Promised to increase our belief that You deliver from
    those attachments;
    Oh Lord,
    cleanse Your Temple of Living Stones.
    Amen.

    Some church's have become sources of entertainment instead of a place to learn morals. The priests are afraid to tell young people they are not supposed to have sex before marriage. Even when it comes to voting, some Christians forget we shouldn't vote for people that stand for abortion and gay marriage (the Democratic party). This man's testimony is amazing.

      Protestants are people that belonged to the Catholic Church and found out the teachings of the church are based on falsehood so they protested and wanted reform within the church but got excommunicated, hence they set up their own group called or labelled PROTESTANT CHURCH. Now, are you a pro-Catholic or against Catholic Church teachings? Define yourself.

    I’m from an extended immigrant family who came to America from Norway 160 or so years ago. Some of the family met LDS missionaries and joined that group, others remained Catholic. Due to instability in Western European at the time, or maybe disease and crop failures or all three, when the new Mormons in the family gave thought to moving to the American West, they all decided to leave Bergen. It’s been a blessing to have a wonderful level of harmony despite any ecclesiastical differences. We all support my cousin Danny when he became a priest, a death in the family again exhibits the strength of the group. I have been to many weddings, baptisms, funerals in the local Catholic parish and our Catholic family has likewise supported the LDS cousins at important times.
    I would never want anyone in our family to “tone down” their worship or remove symbols to please the others. I hope that no one feels a need to do this no matter what your beliefs may be. When you respect each other there is no need, when you are involved in service to a person or family unit experiencing job loss to help make them to be whole, you are living your faith without any lines of division.
    The Father’s talk was needed I suspect, for Catholics in particular but also for all Christians, don’t compromise your worship.

    Father begins his presentation by telling us the Blessed Mother has told him not to entertain the people and not to expect consolation yet he supports both by accepting and thanking people for their applause. I hope and pray that he gains the strength to be more forceful and informs the people to refrain fro applause before he begins his talk. As he stated, good preaching is meant to make you feel guilty about sin not to feel good about sin. We Truly live in a cry baby society. Heaven help us all !!!

    I love the Catholic Church. The first Bible ever written was the Catholic Bible. I love the Mass in English. I grew up with the Latin Mass but was so happy when I could worship in English. Trying to read the missal in English and keep up the the Priest who was praying in Latin was too distressing. I also liked the Altar communion altar rails and wish the Church would bring them back because I believe kneeling to receive Our Lord and savior is most reverent. But I cannot kneel without holding on to something. An altar rail would help. I love the music in my Language because I can sing with my whole heart and understand the words. I dont' speak in Latin. I dont' know why organ music is considered sacred music because most organ music is slow and dragy. A lot of times it is hard to sing the songs. It also sounds very protestant to me. Also Scripture does tell us to use stringed instruments, harps and tamborines. I don't think the Apostles knew what an organ was. As far as Communion on the tongue, when the magisterium tells me I need to receive in this manner, I will be obedient. Most serious sin is committed with the tongue. I belive hearing the Mass in another language other than Latin is not the reason people sin. It's because of self will and/or ignorance.
    I love Jesus with my whole heart soul and body. I love him in the Eucharist and I love and respect the Sacraments
    God bless you

    oAt my parish one day last summer a young lady walked jiin in short shorts and a sleeveless top. The priests were seated near the altar as she passed in front of them and went into the sacristy. I assumed that if she was doing the readings, she’d be wearing a gown of some sort over her street clothes. Nonetheless, I was surprised the priests said nothing about how she was dressed.
    It came time for the readings and the woman in question was in fact the reader, but there was no gown! She did the readings in her shorts.
    Mass continued until time for the Holy Eucharist, and guess who was the extraordinary minister: the girl in shorts! Still no gown, but there she was saying “Body of Christ” and handing out the host.
    I’ve wanted to say something to the two priests ever since but chances are they wouldn’t remember or they’d think I was making too big a deal out of nothing.
    I want to find a parish with Latin Mass and move there. But where?

    The Church's compromises with evil shock me because it is responsible for our souls. Some if the priests, including the younger ones, are particularly faithful, especially the Marianists, are true and brave. Confession times have been drastically reduced. People are indeed encouraged to believe their sin is minima,l if at all. And one does feel that going to Confession even once a month is being a nuisance. I wish that as a college kid the traditional young Irish priest we had, a gentle but orthodox man, had not been replaced by a hippie priest who made us believe the only sin was not being socially radical. It affected all of us teens/ young adults. Priests should not do that. Now The Church is allowing people to openly engage in mortal sin and pompously receive Holy Communion without remorse. Honestly, the Eastern Orthodox/Coptic Christians seem more observant of ancient Church traditions and believes. It is tempting to convert to Coptic but for minor doctrinal differences. 10:43

    When was this? When did Fr. Scheire leave the intercessors of the lamb? I know they were suppressed a few years ago, however he has been back in the Diocese of Wichita for some time now. I don't think he continues to speak publicly on these topic's, and that's sad, because he is right about this.

    Also Pope Francis told the clergy to get everyone baptised in the Spirit but the bishops are not doing this. They insult the Spirit (the Unforgiveable Sin) by holding seminars and TALKING about Him, not arranging for the baptism. The charismatic movement is dying and thus the church.

      No one stinks in the eyes of God, as you suggest.God is Love, and He loves you because He created you for a particular purpose. The battle is between good and evil, and Satan is very strong right now. It is he who put this idea in your head. Fear not, help is only a request away. Invite St Michael the Archangel into your life and ask for his help; he won't let you down if you're sincere. It was Michael who defeated the fallen angles who were thrown out of Heaven and plunged down to earth. They are still here now, roaming around seeking the ruin of souls. Don't let them ruin yours! The ball's in your court, say this prayer to St Michael daily, and little by little you will sense the difference:
      "Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen."

    Protestants are not are brothers and sisters. They must be converted to the Catholic faith before the end of their lives in order to be saved. If this priest does not accept outside the Church there is no salvation, he will be damned. Condemning iconoclasm, lack of kneeling, etc. is not enough to be considered an orthodox Catholic. Many false traditionalists seem to be motivated by nostalgia and ignore the primary issues such as salvation.

      Please tell me what the Apostles used to " go and teach all nations as I (Jesus)have commanded you" since the New Testament wasn't even written until approximately 50-75 years after Jesus ascended into heaven....It surely wasn't sola scriptura that He was talking about because Jesus didn't say, "go and hand everybody a Bible and let them decide for themselves..." --that's how we have so many Protestant religions. He said to go and TEACH them--Sacred Tradition--which is a far cry from following the traditions of men. Check the history books if you don't believe me....

    @johnpetrov6602 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Changing the Mass is not the answer. The Novus Ordo, while it isn't the traditional Mass, isn't much of a new Mass either. The fact that the Novus Ordo has failed is because it clings _too much_ to ancient traditions not too little. This is not to say things like holding hands and guitars are good. They are objectively evil, in the context of the Mass. But if the Church wants to survive, candles and gregorian chant aren't going to save it because these are very short term solutions. Christmas is magical because it only comes once a year. The Church can only survive by successfully grappling with advances in science and technology and by effectively answering questions relating to sexual ethics and charity. So far, it hasn't. I love JPII as a teacher but he was too mystical... too nostalgic. He longed for a world full of divine mysteries and magical tales of great saints. This is a world with very little mystery, and one that finds scientific answers to what some call "miracles." I agree with JPII's message about the supremacy of the nuclear family and the evils of abortion, but he has nothing to say to spouses who struggle financially and with nature's powerful urges. He also had nothing to say to people who have been failed by the capitalist system, causing them to return to the vomit of socialist thinking and even fascism. The Church does a very poor job integrating the discoveries of modern psychology and medicine into its message. The Church used to be the intellectual/academic powerhouse of the planet. Now it's an anachronistic, anti-science trip down memory lane. It's universities are a joke: Nothing but breeding grounds for SJWs and closed-off Traditionalists. It's priests close their eyes to ongoing abuse of every variety. If you want the Catholic Church to survive and revive, you're going to have to integrate serious scientific findings and medical technologies into your message. People need to know the ethics of this stuff, without pretending that it doesn't exist. The Mass can't be merely a trip down memory lane. The Mass must be written to account for the most recent (and correct!!) interpretations of Christ's life and Passion. It's been 2000 years. You think the human species might have evolved in that time? You think we might be seeking answers in the Mass to questions that are a bit more complicated than "what must I do to be saved?" A lot of intellectual people are looking for answers that foster self-improvement from a spiritual standpoint. They certainly aren't getting that in the Mass or the homily. The Rosary is the most repetitive prayer in the world. It's brutal to an intellectual. If you can't provide serious avenues of self-improvement and religious methods of improving the world around yourself in a Christian way, than what good is going to church at all? You might as well avidly read self-help books and try your best to apply what you learn to your coworkers and business clients. We don't exist to save ourselves and live in a closed-off bubble. We are here to save the world around us... to improve things in the world and make life better. Look at how horrible everything is now, even in the wake of all our advancements. People are so miserable that little children are going into schools with machine guns. This is YOUR failure. Not a failure of the world.

    I cannot understand-how can a priest who molests boys and young girls & much more. When complaints are given to Diocese the priests are just shifted around to another parrish. How can they have the power to forgive one's sins? Yes there are good priests also.But these sinful fornicators -some of which are with the devil. Also how can they have power to change bread & wine to Christ's body & blood also. I believe strongly in catholic church mystical beliefs & of the saints but- how can a sinner forgive other's sins.

      Catholics do not worship statues. Mary is more than just a nobody, she is venerated by Catholics and not worshiped but she is the greatest saint. Your Bible came to you from the Catholic Church. You can’t interpret the Bible on your own, the tradition gives it meanings.

    I feel bad for this guy. He has such a heavy burden. He feels like he has to carry a message of guilt, fear and remorse. He says that a person with no guilt means there is no sin. That is not true. When a person is truley seeking God they know when they are doing wrong. One of the incomplete things that the Catholic church or most religons is that God is at the center of our being. That is where you find God.

      burgy76 I have heard him tell his story aboout his accident and sitting in judgement of the lord. And its a story of a angry God that doesnt seem to understand or have very much grace for humans with defects of character. In his story he talks of trying to fit in and wanting to be a people pleaser basically in the church. And for that he was supposedly being a priest for himself and God did not like this so was going not only not let him into heaven but to burn for all of eternity when he is guilty of having some short commings. And if it wasnt for Mary he would be in hell. So God basically changed his mind because of Mary stepping in and asking God to give him another chance. Just another person spreading fear and obidence to the catholic instittuion to get people in line. When you have a relationship with God you come to find out that He is love and not scorn and vengence. An dwhy does mary have sway over Gods decisions?

These dont seem like harsh sins but what it is to deal with being a human and God was going to punish him for eternity!? That is until Mary stepped in and changed Gods mind. I dont know just seems very sad.

      burgy76 I am catholic. I confirmed in the catholic church back in 2011. I was raised catholic but never confirmed. And if its dogma you would use to explain why God would be so punishing because a man has shortcommings then please do tell. And how Mary has sway over Gods decisions. Please help me to understand that as well.
