Oh! These brings back memories. I have an enormous collection, three quarters inherited, going all the way back to the 30's. I couldn't bare to get rid of any.

Such a lovely video Sheila ! It brought back memories of when babies were dressed sensibly and not just a reflection of Mummy's fashion taste as is so often the case nowadays.
In a time of no central heating and transport was pushing a pram instead of driving a car !
Maybe as energy and petrol prices rise, there will be a resurgence of traditional knitted clothes for both adults and little ones.😊

Love the video Sheila. I have a few of the same what you have shown and realise from seeing some, I`ve lost a few too. Lol.. I`ve also got the one from the magazine with Popeye on, that was given to me from a old next door neighbour that has sadly passed away since. Love how you reminisce as you go through them. Thank you for sharing them.

Hope my internet behaves now got a tex to say doing some work over next few months so may have more problems to come yet 😩. It’s a nice day here but cool could do with a grown up siren suit for the colder days lol take care whatever your up to today Jean 💕💕😘

those suits Jean think i have seen a one like an electric blanket, wires that heat up the suit , don't think i would trust one of those though, i have a small heat pad sits on my knee, use it during the day when i am sitting knitting, put my heating on at night when it's colder saves a lot of money

Such adorable outfits! But…I had two boys, and at the early days of disposable nappies. I’m trying to imagine having one of my little guys in a “siren suit” and having to do a quick diaper change!

Hi Sheila a trip down memory lane . I has some of the patterns. I used to knit vests for my nephew in 2ply he only weighed 2lbs when born . Lol I liked the pattern you put in the big pile it was sirdar 3240 pattern down the sleeves I thought you might have put it to one side . I have got everyone of Jean Greenhowe toy pattern books beside Alan Dart and all of Beatrice Potter pattern I have loads of toy patterns but I couldn’t bear to part with any of them. . How’s your knitting gone today Peter and I went a walk up the canal in Llangollen north wales today over 10 miles we are absolutely worn out now at least the weather was good 🥵 I have my feet up now with a cuppa and just doing one of the front bands, only one to go thank goodness Happy knitting 🧶 tonight lol Sandra xxxxx
