I like seeing this side of Monoma. He can empathize with Shinso in a way alot of the others just can't. Sure Deku was quirkless but the stigma against certain quirks is something a person wouldn't be able to understand unless they've been through it. Also he actually cares about his teammates as he was worried about Shinso when Deku crased into his hiding spot. I'm still not a big fan, as his biased attitude twords 1-A goes to far sometimes, but he's not all bad.

It's what I like about the series in general; even a guy like Monoma has multiple angles but then again he kinda always has. Even during the sports festival he antagonized Bakugo and class A but he also seemed to genuinely appreciate Uraraka's strategy during her match and even gave Bakugo a pass for being seemingly unawares. It's also interesting that he keeps a certain trend going of people who's quirks are very limiting in their activation and usage being very clever and perceptive people much like Aizawa and Deku from his quirkless days

The sad thing though is that in the BNHA society, guys that have flashy and over-the-top quirks get the attention that they crave meanwhile guys like him forever would remain in the shadows or worse, being called a sidekick. He's my favorite character in the anime. He's written as highly "irritating", as shown by other characters' reactions, but in reality he's insanely intelligent with a very cool quirk. He can make great plans, play mind games and even use others' quirks in unique ways. I find him to be better written and more lovable than like 99% of the cast Oh and i guess his design is simple yet cool
Anything that does not require a stockpiling effect he can use, such as he can copy Eri's quirk but due to the fact that her quirk relies on gathering energy over a long period of time he can't really use it, aswell anything that requires a mutation to work, such as Mineta's ball quirk.
