Okay I have watched a billion reaction videos of all of PTX and you are an easy new favorite! Your smile was making me smile 😅 and just matching the energy was such an easy and delightful watch. Keep on keeping on!
One of my all time favorite PTX videos! Their ability to pass a song between them is unmatched! You really must listen to the original to realize how magic this is! Kiara has WAY too much electronic stuff for me. ❤
This is one of my favorite PTX pieces. The original of this is digitally sliced and diced to death, but these five people just sat down on a couch and came out with this chill vibe in one take.
I can't believe I didn't ever notice it was five part at the end. I can't count the number of times I've listened to this gem of an arrangement, but watching a good and knowledgeable reactor always points me to something new, or gives me a new appreciation for something I already love. Great reaction!
Wow. You and Sir Hairless ... both give incredible reactions. Thank you so much! I'm an out-of-closet Pentaholic and will watch anything you do about them but I'll probably also listen to ANYTHING you do as I do now with Sir Hairless. You are such fun!
Agreed, Sir Hairless is my other “highly technical” musical reactor who has a wonderful ear for hearing things we would likely normally miss. It’s just great to have these professionally trained musicians as reactors to help us experience the nuances of Pentatonix
You read my mind! I can only afford one artist rabbit hole that I have time to fall into (Pentatonix, natch), and I look for reaction "artists" to help me build my musical knowledge. I am thrilled to find another reaction artist to compare to Sir Hairless, and he provides me with some delightful "Good Evening Stories." p.s. I've been a Pentaholic since I first saw them on The Sing Off. I have enough of a musical background to appreciate how special they were (and are), so I never made it into the closet!
@@kirkzentner3262 LOL! Yes, agreed! But, one only needs to listen to about 10-15 seconds of the original in order to fully appreciate what PTX has accomplished here.
This and Come Along are always ones I enjoy reactions to. Not that I don’t love them all….there is just something special about how excited reactors get! Great analysis!! ❤
Having Classical training has the great benefit of training the ear to hear small subtleties we might normally miss and in this video I have great appreciation for how closely you listen to Kevin and help us be aware of his light, subtle, and yet highly critical part in keeping this track on beat while adding unique sounds that enhance the flavor and mood of the piece. Loved your reaction ❤😊
This is another one of their excellent examples of just how talented they are at keeping " in their own lane " staying in their own parts and not getting lost in someone else' part. It is also a great testament to their ability to make all the necessary noises and notes of the instruments as well as all the vocals with ONLY 5 people. I keep wanting to tell Mitch to breath !! Just take a breath. The arrangement of this song is pure genius !! Avi's bass line and rhythm, Kevin's beat boxing and drum beats are just EPIC and that's all I have words for !! The other backgrounds from Kirstie and Scott under Mitch's vocals is so spot on and full. This song really SHOULD be considered for a Grammy, just sayin' ! Thanks for your assessment of this song, one of their best.
This was amazing! I really enjoyed it and I subscribed for more Pentatonix reactions and legit analysis. It’s always fun when someone is so knowledgeable.
The mark of an excellent a capella group...they can turn a very disliked song that frankly makes me feel slightly disturbed and that had to use masses of computerised help to achieve the sound Kiiara wanted...and make it sound wonderful and lovable. Most of us loved it for Mitch's vocal gymnastics, Scott and Kirstie's harmonising and Avi and Kevin's rhythmic deep support, but it's amazing to get the analysis from someone who knows beatboxing and can catch all the details we miss because we're not in the music business. Please do more PTX reactions!!
Personally I like this 1 way better than the kiara version. The kiara version is very reliant on technology To give that contrast in her voice. And Mitch is just sitting there doing it. This performance is . This performance is so chill so laid back and yet so intricate. For me it's just 1 of their absolute best!
Great reaction! Very informative. You simply must listen to at least a little of the original so you can fully appreciate what PTX created. There is a saying you “can’t create a silk purse out of a sow’s ear”, but PTX proves you can with this song. Mitch hitting the notes he did so effortlessly is impressive, especially his last run. These type of mic’d creations are filmed and sung at the same time. They do 2 or 3 takes, and use the best one. They use this format for their evolution and many of their medleys You would like Say Something, Perfect , New Rules x Are You That Somebody, Problem ( especially the live version of Problem at a radio station) Can’t Hold Us, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, The Prayer, Amazing Grace, O Holy Night, and PopSpring 2016, 3 originals and the evolution of Michael Jackson live. Their originals Happy Now, Sing and Run To You are among my favs

I've always found this one of the most enjoyable PTX videos because you can see what everyone is doing all throughout.

I love how your initial reaction is mostly visual and so full of joy.

Pretty much all of this.

Agreed! Sir Hairless is awesome too! Best reactors ever, both of them. So insightful and informative.

Have you heard the original by Kiara? If not, listen to it and then listen to this again and you'll see just how amazing this is!!
No one should ever listen to the original. It is audio torture.

@@jenchem42 Agreed. Kiara used loop-over and effects to achieve what Pentatonix just did live in one take.
@@kirkzentner3262 😂. Truth
It is always special when Avi and Mitch work together!
You would really enjoy Carol of the Bells...will blow you away!
Such a compelling performance, it is so intricately simple. This is a PTX song in my book.
This and Come Along are always ones I enjoy reactions to. Not that I don’t love them all….there is just something special about how excited reactors get! Great analysis!! ❤
Also, this was done live for one of the evening talk shows. I don't recall which one, though.

I just love YOUR positive vibes. Life’s a struggle these days but you’ve brightened my day no end ❤
Sincerely appreciate your interpretation - highlighting the beat boxing, yet recognizing each vocalist as well
Live one take perfection!

Hi, I'm from Germany and after the reaction I just had to subscribe to your channel.
Thank you for your careful insight and analysis! I appreciate your reactions a lot. I will keep watching! 🙂
Another amazing fact is that this is a one-take!!
Full of ear intrigue

(I love Matt, but oh I miss Avi) Like another commenter said, I also love how you react physically, like, this is how this music feels. Yes, it is. ♥
TX. I agree with Leslie. So good. From a Pentaholic. Greetings from South Africa

This was excellent analysis. Kevin is amazing. I agree. They are an incredible group of artists.
So pure...
Still amazing!!! I have to keep coming back to it...
What a sweet piece! Thank you for reacting/analysing.
Thanks for the reaction.
Recommend their cover of Say Something.
You are scary!! If someone leaves PTX, I recommend you. Unless it is Mitch. Thanks for such a great reaction.
Blissful.
Love this one so much.
