John Cole. Bought my first.Sharpie at 16years of age it as a Bruce Darcy boat called Valletta T15 .year 1967. A great time was had by all in this class.
Interesting apparently in Australian, according to the "title" of this video any one with a lightweight Sharpies can enter this race although these beautiful boats look suspiciously similar, perhaps even a class of boat from a single design? And perhaps there is a name associated with the design (e.g. in US the 19-foot Lightning Class designed by Sparkman & Stephens and was based on a "Lightweight Sharpie" as well) of the boats racing in what for all the world looks like a "class" race. But who knows, with that title and no other information bothered with.
