This is one of my all time favorite Christmas specials and Little House on the Prairie episodes! They is a simplistic beauty about it. The importance of family, love and togetherness. I am 43 years old and know that 30 years from now I will be watching this episode with a smile.
I want my children to have the best....i defend and believe in the humbleness of america upoun which i was raised..god bless the u.s.a. the land of opportunity!!!
I watch this film since i was young girl, and for me this film is very thought full and i am really glad that i am still can see this film with my husband in tv sbs 6 and cable 1 duistsland.
@jst2k09 I used to watch this with my Grandma too, every weekend my mum would take me and my sister to see her and this was always on. I'd watch it with a roast dinner. She passed away a few years ago but now I watch this and it reminds me of gran.
Guys, this show is a show of innocence, a show of love and godliness, I know there are people who are causing trouble on here, but people please, ignore the negativity, please refrain from swearing.
Suddenly a shot rings out. They all rush out of the cabin. The girl stands with the gun in hand next to the dead 'pony' and looks at them all. "This'll make some damn fine glue" Roll credits
Todays people know that difference too, but it more and more pays off to ignore it. The role models have changed and greedy reckless people are sucessful and respected by many.
I always loved The Little House Books but never read Farmerboy, or finished By the Shore's of Silver lake or the last 3 books but read the rest and read the first one a million times. Even know the beginning of the first and of Little Women. They added a lote of drama to the series but it's still good and the story line of the characters is pretty correct.
Today Charles would have to buy a wheel barrow to carry the amount of money needed to buy the stove. Then, people would steal the wheel barrow, and leave the money!. Btw, Mary my crush when I was 13. Still is in my rose colored eyes!. Jack is cute here, too!
@Corsina incorrect, if kids today had just 1/1000 of these kids. I have a 3 year old daughter, and its disgusting just how far kids today are from these kids.
@wonderfulxoxo yea so do i. Society has broken down. People eat on the couch watching T.V, gaming and computers, clubs, liquor, and the drive to be independent and not function as a family.
help me..what is it she needs? i think i know, but i want to be correct....believe....you need to know that i am not supposed to tell anybody, but i hope you will like it!!!!!
No, actually we are talking about Little House. You have already lost the argument by descending to personal attacks. We are entitled to critique Little House and its actors as that is the subject of the comments on the video. Anything else is off topic drivel. I'm holding that Mellisa Sue A was a better actor than Mellisa G and M Sue A made the show worth watching. If you are going to disagree, state your reasons logically.

so sweet, she doesn't cry about the pony but about the saddle!!!

I love mary. She is such a prettty girl
"Here Laura, wipe your tears with this rag Mary gave me." lol
Suddenly a shot rings out. They all rush out of the cabin. The girl stands with the gun in hand next to the dead 'pony' and looks at them all.

@ZionNeo1 Your comment made me laugh, but your probably right, that's what the show would be called.
@ 6:24 Why did Caroline shove HER present under the tree? I think she was going to give that to Charles but she pushed it under the tree....
gottes segen!!!!i believe!!!i will help my little half -pint!!!
It is so sad when bunny dies after he is given back to laura, she runs into a barbwire fence that she cant see and Charles shoots him :(
I DON'T remember this episode, Why did she give her pony away?
I still don't understand how you get the color green from red onion skins.
Un cut, huh? Cut to ribbons!
Anyone notice how Bunny is a "he" here but in the later episodes in season 3 ("Bunny, "The Race", and "Journey in the Spring") he's a "she" instead?
oh laura traded mr olsen her pony for the new stove her mother wanted i guess its like they say the best gifts come from the heart
The horse dies in another episode, Laura is riding him, jumps a fence, falls, and breaks his leg. Charles then has too shoot him. :((
She had knitted him the same sweater.
because Ma had bought the same thing that mary gave him so she didnt want to show him
IT'S JUST HIGHLIGHTS!
I never saw this episode

Timeless Timeless Timeless. Heartstrings a'pluckin. who can't resist the love of two sweet little girls? (Don't go there, those of perverted mind).
That has to be the most uncomfortable saddle in the world. It's made out of wood. Was he going to put leather on it later or something?
@wonderfulxoxo yea so do i. Society has broken down. People eat on the couch watching T.V, gaming and computers, clubs, liquor, and the drive to be independent and not function as a family.
