The only exception is that Cortex has been with Crash from 1, 2, Warped, Wrath, and Twinsanity.... Ripto has been in Spyro 2 and some forgotten versions that I don't care.
Angrymonkey Yeah I guess Gnasty was kinda scrapped wasn’t he after the first game, ripto is spyro’s polar opposite in personality and motives so I’m glad they went with him as the main villain, although he isn’t seen in my favourite spyro game of all time #YearOfTheDragon
I'm glad most people here agree that this was the best final boss in the trilogy. I actually didn't get to play the 1st and 3rd games until reignited, and I was pretty disappointed with those final bosses.
02superspeed gnasty gnorc was hardly a boss fight, and the sorceress was literally overwhelmed by the tanks and ships you had and it didn’t feel fair for the fucking final boss fight of the trilogy, that’s how bad it was, plus ripto had like 3 stages in his battle, the others only had one.
@@TopazTheDragon I agree she's the most serious antagonist of the trilogy, however, i like how the Ripto vs Spyro rivalry feels way more personal than with Gnasty or The Sorceress, and i feel that is what makes him Spyro's definitive nemesis.
Ripto's Arena is HANDS DOWN my most favorite boss fight! The music gets you HYPED UP for anything. That cutscene where Spyro flies upside-down with the Superfly Power-up when Ripto destroys the arena is my most favorite cutscene in the ENTIRE game, especially if you time it right at 1:10-1:36!
Best main villan, best story, best characters, best sequel from all Spyro games, best levels, best boss battle and best sountrack ever in games. God Bless you, lnsomniac.
Ripto was the only villain in the whole series that reappeared more than three times. (Spyro 2, Spyro Season of Fire, Spyro Orange (the cross-over with Crash Bandicoot), and one more portable game that I can't recall.)
Idc what people who played the pal version say, I absolutely LOVE the opera! It makes the battle much more epic than the pal version. For me the pal version always sounded bland and boring compared to this one.
True, but on the other hand there were some instruments that were turned up to compensate for the lack of vocals And for those instruments, I think it's somewhat makes up for it; the piano track for example is kick ass
I've always played the PAL version but I never noticed that the opera was missing! I love both versions tbh, I don't think this track could ever sound bad

Ya gotta admit, this was probably the sickest boss fight in the entire series
Hell ya. You get to pick up orbs to get cool powers just for the fight. It was awesome.
Plus now we're going to get a remake of it. I can't wait!
facts. the bosses across all games were pretty weak but ripto was great
Eric Sakoor the ones in the first game kinda sucked but 2 and 3 had good fights
@@AndrewJGaming nah. the whole running around the boss til you hit him got played out fast

Ripto has a beautiful singing voice
W comment
dat opera singer though
No denying Ripto is Spyro’s number one enemy, like Cortex is to Crash

@@Angrymonkey2489 You mean Enter the Dragonfly, Attack of the Rhynocs, Season of flame?
That's only because he's been the main villain for multiple games.
TheLoaten17 Yh guess you are right. That’s why Ripto and Cortex had the same personality, height and width, and wanted both the same dream.
I'm glad most people here agree that this was the best final boss in the trilogy. I actually didn't get to play the 1st and 3rd games until reignited, and I was pretty disappointed with those final bosses.
You fight Him Again in Spyro ETD, Spyro 2 Season of Flame and Spyro Attack of the Rhynocs
I played the 1st and 3rd games and I agree with you on that. Ripto was the best and by far the easiest final boss.
@@FeatherWings78 Gnasty Gnorc is easier
ripto was the best final boss in the orginal triology. a lot more epic than the other two
Of course. Why do you think he came back in Enter the Dragonfly and the GBA games? He's rightfully a favorite.
Gnasty Gnorc runs away from you and you overpower the Sorceress. Ripto actually put up a fight.
Sorceress is the biggest threat though storywise, she's the cruelest of the three.

A very memorable boss fight and a challenging one too!
How to make a boss fight the toughest one? Put an opera soundtrack in it.
This sounds pretty amazing.
Can't wait to hear this music in remastered on Sypro Reignited Trilogy.
(Me, but with every song in the trilogy)
I wonder are they gonna keep the opera in the HD version.
Yo same i cant wait to hear all the remastered tracks
I’m predicting they’re not going to include the opera
@DeltaGem Ha ha, they kept the Opera for the Reignited and the Original version is this version, not the lame PAL version.
I assosiate the opera singing with Ripto doing the vetbal componet to his spells.
Opera in a final boss theme... Kinda reminds me of Sonic CD
*final fever*
This is the best final boss in the whole series, including all the portable spin offs
can't listen to this without also hearing spyro constantly breathing fire
“Hey shorty! If you really wanna test that septer, why don’t you try it on me? I’ll stand still, I promise!”
Proceeds to not stand still at all XD
"Dragon! You've just sealed your fate!"
I think he says test that power crystal not septee lol.
NEW. FAVORITE. SONG.
I remember wasting almost 30 LIVES on this bastard.
But when I beat him, I was SO happy.
At first, for me, that was Gulp
He killed me about five times before I got him
Damn you suck
Best final boss fight of any PlayStation game ever
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaah, heeeeeeeeeeeeeeey
I kinda wish they had included like people in the background playing this theme with the two opera singers singing in the Reignited Trilogy.
I cant wait to play once again in the remake 😍😍

He was also in Spyro Year of the Dragonfly. I think that's the name of the game that was on ps2. It wasn't really good.
+StonexxDemonmaggot
In fact, it was piece of shit.
TheDarkKnight
Yeah! That's the one!
I think it was the last "decent" Spyro game on consoles though.
year of the dragonfly wasn't pretty nice it kinda sucked a little
00:00 yaa
I bet the remastered version is going to be good
This song is so goofy, when taken out of context.
I never finished this game, because my CD was scratched and the only bug from that was getting stuck on the loading screen for this boss fight.
have you played it yet on xbox

Grraaaugh Canimals!
I had a huge crush on Ripto as a kid.
Really? I had more of a gulp for Ripto XD
Me its buzz on year of the dragon
Elora: Kick his ass!
I'm curious. Who did the operatic vocals for this?
Good question. Kinda wish I knew.
no idea~
They're synthesized... that's not an actual person.
Ripto was definitely the most iconic villain in Spyro. I don't get why they put Gnasty in CTR and not him.
Gospel singer Tye Tribbett & GA victory outro 2006
What?
That is just pure straight nightmare fuel
Yoooooo!
Bro they used that guy singing in pso2 LOL
Would like to have a two phase ripto fight with the second busting out the opera
For those theorests among you, you have to wonder why Ripto hates dragons?
wasnt he from a world where dragons didnt like him and sent him to Avalar? So they probably got in his way of conquering a dragon world he was from

Since Ripto was picked on as a child (yes, it's canon) those bullies were most likely dragons since he dislikes them.

The opera is in the American version, not the European version...
The North American version had the opera singer. The European version (thankfully) did not.

I say growing up with the opera version that I like it, although it is a bit odd sounding.
