- The "Whittlin' Jack" knife by Flexcut is a great knife to take around and use for small work. I personally only use it on stuff I have already roughed out, or I know is clean wood. I carry another knife for doing the "heavy lifting" just because I think the Whittlin' Jack is more inclined for fine detail, and nice smooth cuts.
If you wanted the Whittlin' Jack to be your main carving knife I definitely think it could be. The option to switch between the small and large blade make it very versatile. Which is why it is one of the only knives of mine that I take camping or back packing!
I have the carving jack and this, Whittlin jack. The Whittlin jack is mmy absolute favorite! Can't go wrong with this knive. ♥
You got it! It is such a great, diverse knife!
I agree with you on most of your comment and disagree on others. This pocket knive is a work horse and will do 80 to 90% of most of your work. I like the openning and closing being stiff, they will stay in place when in use. The blades are of good quality and hold an edge extremly well. I have five grandsons and have given one to each, I now have five carvers to share our stories and lies with. I recommend the "Whittling Jack" for the beginner or seasoned carver.
Love it! Thanks for sharing!
its uk carry and i love taking it to the local park and whittle at old branches
Sounds like the perfect use!
Great video, thanks.
Nice spoon carving.
I have this knife, and I prefer it to be hard to close rather than easy since it is slip joint and not locking. Good flexcut has one carving jack knife 🔪 that does not lock for the people who live in places that do not allow lock blades.
They have other models that are upgraded. The new 2.0 models are a little better fit and finish. The new models open and close better plus contoured handle upgrade.
Good to know! Thanks for sharing!
Great video thanks ☺️.
Thanks for watching!
I had one and sent it back I couldn't open the blades they where to stif
Yeah I think that is common- mine is still tricky!
Are you the "Carving is Fun" guy? Both of you refer to the blades in the knife as "knives". It implies that you are taking about 2 separate knives.
Haha no I am not the “carving is fun” guy.
