What a story ! Texas 6 is a can't miss watch on Paramount plus about the Strawn community and it's football team , school and the personal side of these coaches and their families. A terrific story starts with the coach and his assistants leaving to go to another school after last year's season only to return and lead his kids to another state title ! Bravo men !
One thing I don’t understand about Texas football, is that appear to be literally dozens of “state champions” annually

Every state has different classifications based on sizes of schools.
I live in Tennessee and have filmed the State Championship games before, and there’s easily like half a dozen or more State Championship games…
@@JosiahBrewster I get the concept of the different classes, but it just seems to water down the meaning of “champion”. Then you have national high school “championships” but they are contested by fake schools like ING

Thanks for posting the game! My father and uncles played for Strawn back in the 50’s and 60’s. We love being able to watch the games from Arizona…Go Strawn 🏈🏆

I just watched the last episode and hated the show ended! Absolutely loved it! It reminded me of a “real life” Friday night lights and that’s a show I can watch over and over again! But congrats and Super Job‼️ *in coach Lee’s voice* haha

Man I remember playing against Strawn back in the day they had like 30 players on their team, we had 8 players. Lost but was still one of the best games of my highschool career. Now my old school you dont even hear about anymore its fallen so much I am honestly not even sure they still have Football, I remember hearing about 5 years back they might lose it due to lack of students. I went to Harrold. If any old Team members out there Remember 9-0! *Edit*: I am pretty sure it was Strawn's Second year as a 6 man team when I played them, I know they had dropped down from a 11 Men thats why they had so many players, like I was used to seing maybe 10 - 12 players in total but they had like 30 lol.
Harrold had a very good football season this year. i think they ended 6-4
Is the option illegal? In 6 man ? Never played
The player who receives the ball from the center (usually called the QB) can not advance the ball past the line of scrimmage unless it has changed possession. So no a true 11man QB option cant be done, but you can say pitch it to a back and then run an option (Veer is a type of triple option in 6man)
so when I went to high school at Motley co in 2007 we ran the option from 2 gun. the QB would get it and hand it to the guy next to him and run it that way. It work very well back then

Has anyone been drafted to the NFL from this? Its my first time hearing or seeing football being played with only 6 guys
There have been very few, I know that the first was probably Ken Konz by the Browns in the first round in 1951

@@codythrive5154 dude his dad called him saying he was bleeding and he wasn’t even willing to take him to ER , then in first season one of his kids was in similar situation and he basically told him football is more important
You don’t know Coach Lee. You only saw what it was filmed. He spent most of his time with his Dad which he loved.
They edit things that way to make amore compelling story. CBS(nbc, abc) isn exactly known for their truthfulness… they have a show or story to c9nstruct and sell… the hell with the truth….
Not true at all, His father did not want any other way , he was there for his father, his wife was there and his asst coaches as well.
