great toy, is elegant, simple and efective toy, matchbox made a wonderfull figure of sdf1 whit this model, this toy is all need of the macross sdf1, compared whit the garbaje vf1 no tranformable, the takatoku vf1 and the mini characters like gijoe dolls...is very rare matchbox make this great sdf1 toy
This one is bittersweet for me. My ex-wife stole my SDF-1 in 2001 and I still haven't been able to replace it. I really wish Bandai would re-release it.
i have 2 of these, one was given to me 30+ years ago as a kid and is unaltered, the other one is a custom painted one that makes it look just like the cartoon.

It kills me that this is still the only decent transforming TV SDF-1 toy ever made
The "crown jewel" of my Robotech collection when I was a kid. Damn was that thing awesome.
