Its a S-55 H-19 Chickasaw with a Garrett turbine engine conversion. originally they were powered by a P&W Wasp R-1340 650 hp 9 cylinder radial engine as the later variants of the S-55 and Westland Whirlwind are powered by a 800 hp Wright Cyclone 7 R-1300 7 cylinder radial engine with a improved hydromechanical clutch. As an S-55qt was a converted s-55 with a 5 blade main rotor and an silencer on the exhaust and intake baffling with the side vents covered which made them quiet for the grand canyon ride operations. as one airframe is now owned by Kermit Weeks of Fantisy of Flight in polk city Florida along with two other s-55s
Thanks! Looking at your videos, Munich has some good traffic. The last time I was spotting in Munich was at the old Munich-Riem airport and had not as much traffic as it has now.
