Breast cancer treatment also cause teeth and gum issues as well! This is because of the the acidity of the mouth. I just learned about xylitol which alkalize the mouth, which prevents oral decay. I use birch xylitol. Be your own advocate! I ended up with a gum disease which is causing rapid loss of teeth and gum receding. It’s costing me over $30,000 to treat my teeth. I have lost 4 teeth thus far.
Hello! Thank you for the video! I would like your opinion on the situation that I am in. I am a 57 year old woman. In 2004, tonsillar cancer was found and I went throw 2 surgeries and 7 weeks of radiation therapy. Now, my teeth are getting worse due to periodontal disease, many teeth are gone, and the bones that support the teeth are loosened. I’m sure that dentures are needed but I’ve heard that there is a bone that can partially hit the implant. There are dentists that recommend implants using ALL-IN-4, which is a new kind of technology. If there are successful or failed cases of implants for patients after receiving radiation therapy, I would like to know.
I am very sorry this happened to you. If your oncologist is not helping you address this issue, you should get a second opinion from another oncologist or a dentist.
