Camino SAN SALVADOR (5) - Mieres-Oviedo (subtitles)

Last stage of the Camino de San Salvador, from Mieres to Oviedo. The most notable in terms of difficulty is the climb to El Padrún, 4 km of road (AS-375) with many curves, located at the beginning of the day, which allows us to tackle it in good conditions.
On leaving Mieres del Camín we start by climbing the Cuesta La Rebollá, passing through the villages of La Rebollá, La Malatería, Repitaneo, El Rollu, Copián, Santa Llucía and Aguilar, turning off to see the hermitage of La Asunción and taking advantage of a local road to reach El Padrún, saving on asphalt.
We descend to Casares along a steep road and when we leave the place we must pay attention to the signs indicating a path on the right that leads to the AS-375. In just over 1 km we pass under the railway tracks and over the A-66 to enter Olloniego, where we visit its historic centre.
We continue on tarmac until we cross the river Nalón and arrive at the Casa del Portazgo and an old leguario. This is the start of the second climb of the day, which after a beautiful path ends in Picullanza. We return to the tarmac and in just over 1 km we reach San Miguel de la Pereda with Oviedo in sight.
A nice path takes us to La Venta, next to Arroyo Morente, to start the third climb of the day walking on asphalt until we reach Oviedo and reach our goal: the Sancta Ovetensis.

Está chulo este camino; lo que veo que sale alguna que otra etapa por encima de los 25 km; que si hay que hacerlo se hace 😅. Gracias por compartir

Con la distribución de 5 etapas que preparamos son dos por encima de 25 km, una está aproximada y dos por debajo de 25 km. Se puede hacer en 6 etapas más relajado, parando en Pajares. La etapa que cruza la Cordillera Cantábrica (3) es la más difícil por la falta de infraestructuras (avituallamiento, alojamiento, etc...) Con voluntad y ganas se puede conseguir. Qué recuerdos me han venido al ver que llegan a Oviedo, desde allí salimos nosotros para hacer el Primitivo 😃😃y qué bonita la imagen del 0:33, es el típico lugar en el que me pararía a sacar fotos jaja. No teníamos cámara de video cuando hicimos el Primitivo, que si no... Para locutar un video se necesita buena voz, que atraiga, y no sea "dura". Lo tengo en mente, pero sigo buscando opciones. Muchas Gracias por tu comentario!!
