Great video. I made custom similar process, used the thighs and crotch part from Bardock, and the upper body I made and cast a mould of the Omen Goku Figuarts

As you said, using Bardock would require less work and the silhouette might be nicer too!
Tried making similar custom, but used ui goku body painted as well as superhero vegeta crotch and arms and great saiyaman legs, I ended up breaking the the peg that connects the torso to the legs so now I gotta hot glue it together cuz I’ve spent too much time trying to make it😂 it’s also my first custom I made, I don’t think I will make another soon until I do my research properly

I've failed a lot too. Please do your best and don't get discouraged!
However, when disassembling or reassembling a figure, be sure to place it in hot water to soften the materials.
