According to Carrie, she dedicated this song to her home state folks, because her parents said to her, stay and perform. Her dad said you can help her home state with this performance better than coming home.
From I read from all of the music performers there. Carrie gain more respects from everybody. She had every reason to go back to Oklahoma and help her home state and not due this performance. They know Carrie when she makes an commitment to do something, she does it. And she does what dad said, honor your commitments. And I think Carrie helped out her home state, more than she realize.
I think if Carrie would have called her parents and said I am coming home to help, her dad would have said, do exactly this, your job is a performer and you will honor your commitment.
Fun FACT: This song, she co-wrote, was supposed to be for Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It didn't make it on the movie because it wasn't what they were looking for. So she co-wrote There's A Place for Us for Chronicles of Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader which made it at the end of the movie/on the end credits of the movie.
The reason, it wasn't used in the movie. All military branches took it. Military saw the video of it and it perfectly fit for them. And Carrie said all the profits from this song and still is, going to military branches to families.
I think choirs have finally got it. Don't tried to out sing Carrie, it doesn't work. Carrie has such power in her vocals she can easily get above any chorus that back her up.
Carrie didn't realize that ovation for her outstanding performance and their admiration toward her.
OMG WHAT A LOOKER SHE'S BEAUTIFUL 💥❤️❤️💥
This reminds me of what I am going through and people I lose

Hell yeah baby girl
I think the choir tried to out sing Carrie. But Carrie just raised her vocals a couple of notches and easily went above them, surprising the choir.
Whoa. BOLD BOLD song Carrie. ggggggg
Thank you for posting this.. I've been looking for this video for a long time

I believe she had just lost her Grandmother right around this time ... she was super emotional. A the very end, "I miss you, Grandma."
@J McCart Wrong. She said in an interview that she said "I miss you, Grandma." Read her lips … there aren't enough syllables for 'Oklahoma."
@@sarawilson1589 I guess an interview doesn't count because you just KNOW, right? SMH
Where did you read Carrie's grandmother. There is nothing on Facebook about it.
@@row759 not everything is on Facebook
@@kctexan there is no interview where she says that lol

@@row759they wanted a different song for the movie. It had nothing to do with the military

Awesome one 😍
I heard she donated 1 million dollars to the relief there. Most stars wouldn't even come close to that.
Thnks for upload this vídeo, is so special and emotional... Wuaoooooo Carrie... Wuaoooooo
Taylor swift was like DAMN I can’t do that.
For a long time
I like this modest Carrie Underwood better, The dress, the hair ....
4:20 what does she say at the end, I can’t make it out!
