Seems to me there never was a hypostatic union. You can't unite partial human knowledge and omniscience. Right? How does that work? Is that the record we have of our Lord? How did he not know the time of his return? Well, they say, he didn't know in his human nature only. But isn't that splitting him? Didn't the Chalcedon declaration say the natures were not divided? So how does that work? And why didn't he just pop over to his divine side and find out and tell his disciples? You see the problem. The truth appears to be that he was deity in his spiritual identity of the Logos made flesh. But he went through a "kenosis" and gave up his miraculous attributes. It was the Father working in him by the Holy Spirit that he did his works, not his own attributes of deity. See also Acts 10:38. Amen?
The hypostatic union sounds crazy because it’s not true and is illogical! Instead of coming up with some philosophical man-made idea, that’s read into the text of scripture. Maybe you should see what the scripture says about who the Messiah really is!
So I'm guessing that you believe in self salvation. You have to pray a prayer, believe, receive, repent, confess, get baptized, or whatever you think you must do to be saved. God is so much bigger and better than that.
