- Our 10 week old miniature dachshund, Remi, has now settled into our new home. He is now also inseparable from his sister Mia, our other mini dachshund, who is a year and a half old. They love to cuddle, nap and play with each other.
We also got them a dog ramp, so that they can go on and off the couch and bed, without jumping, which can lead to back problems for dachshunds. Remi also got a new dog bowl, which is a food puzzle so that he can eat his food slower and get mental stimulation, while also helping with digestion.

We got ours online (can’t remember the company sorry!) but if you look up “dog puzzle bowl” there should hopefully be some good options for you!
How did Remi do on the first night sleeping at his new home?
He was great! Immediately became attached to all of us and wanted to spend the whole night cuddling :)

Mia is so graceful and little Remi is very laid back considering all of the energy stowed away in that little body.

They really are hard to find! Took us a while, a lot are crappy plastic ones that are expensive, but we were lucky to find this man who only makes a handful at a time. Keep searching and you will find the perfect one :)

Just a quick question, did Mia get separation anxiety when she was a pup? If so how did you train her?
Yes she did get a bit of separation anxiety in the beginning. The key for us was to leave her in small increments, so starting from a few seconds at a time and gradually building up to hours. She eventually got used to it!

I've had dogs in my lifetime but my favorite one out of all of them was my mimi dashund I loved that dog so much Im hoping to get me another one soon

Our mini is not aloud to come on the sofa we go doun to her keeps us fit. And she loves it but not when you are over 50 jesus the bum hurts 😏😂😂😂
Ah so cute makes me want another dachshund! We have homemade ramps for both our dachshunds too. My dachshunds love the little ball that they can roll around to get their food out - it slows them down and is fun x

We got it from a retired man on gumtree who made some ramps on the side as his daughter had a dachshund, he doesn’t have a website though sorry!

Remi looks like such a cool dog to have where'd you get him from. Been trying to get one for a while in the Melbourne area but have had no luck.
I really dont agree with the feeder setup. Overthinking something that comes naturally to them ie eat fast
