    Behind the scenes:
Baby Mine is my favorite Disney song of all time. After having my first baby, I had major separation anxiety when I went back to work, and listening to this song would send me to tears - and it still does fast forward 4 years. In this arrangement, I introduced the tonal qualities of a chorale in the style of Beethoven's string quartets, particularly his sublime Cavatina movement (5th mvt of Op. 130).
This performance is for all the children (and their moms!) out there who make this world a more tender place.

    Lyrics:
    Baby mine, don't you cry.
    Baby mine, dry your eyes.
Rest your head close to my heart,
Never to part, baby of mine.
    Little one, when you play,
Pay no heed what they say.
Let your eyes sparkle and shine,
Never a tear, baby of mine.
If they knew all about you,
They'd end up loving you, too.
All those same people who scold you,
What they'd give just for the right to hold you.
From your hair down to your toes,
    You're not much, goodness knows.
But, you're so precious to me,
Sweet as can be, baby of mine.
