Thanks for sharing this. I'm a user of hobonichi a6 this year for journaling n would like to upgrade to a5 cousin. But I'm still doubting to get the a5 one as its look very huge in size. But sometimes I few I don't have enough space to write in my a6. Weeks sound interesting. Small enough to to put in to a handbag to carry around. Which is what I want.
+Ciyou Ong Hi! That was my problem in the past, finding a planner that would be small enough for me to carry around. The A5 cousin size is just way too heavy to bring around everyday. It's great if you have a lot to write / draw. I'm glad this video helped you see the size differences and uses of each :)

+Kristy Ang Hi Kristy! Thanks so much for watching :) Regarding the stitched pages, I stitch acetate sheets on scrapbooking paper, then I glue the whole thing on the Hobonichi. I make sure to measure the pages first of course so that it fits perfectly. Hope this helps!

It's a great way of looking at the hobonichi. And yes I was born and raised in Hawaii :) I left for college and just never moved back and I miss it every single day.

Sorry this is so late 😅 They were were sold a long time ago on the Hobonichi website. I think it was 2015? It's probably not a help, but I'm sure you can save an old sticker sheet backing and create something similar.

Hello! Isnt it confusing to have so many planners? I have seen IG accounts of people with so many planners. How do you manage each one? I just got a Hobonichi cousin and thus far, I use it for all but somehow I get the feeling that artsy fartsy stuff I put in it isnt so appropriate when I am doing work/errands. Thanks in advance.
haiironotenshi603 Hi! It wasn't hard as my work planner usually stayed stayed at my job and had zero personal content. The weeks I didn't really consider a planner but more of a notebook on the go that had my food log and grocery list. So technically I only have 1 planner. This is quite an old video so since then I have eliminated the weeks and replaced it with apps so so no longer carry anything with me on the go. As you know the cousin is quite heavy and large. I have also eliminated the work planner and now just carry a notebook for notes. The artsy farts stuff for work purposes was actually what kept me motivated to work. I work in a very creative field so it is always encouraged. I also work with a lot of Japanese clients that appreciate all things kawaii :) I'd say whatever you feel brings you joy to your life by all means go for it. The world is too serious and we all need to find things that make us happy. Hope this helps!
