- Well it was -37 degrees celcius out this fine Saturday morning so we decided to venture indoors and wander around the Forks. The covid restrictions lifted so we knew it would be much more accessible than the last time we walked there and we could properly show you around.
I, naturally, was boiling and did not feel the cold at the end but make no mistake, she be freezin'!
Places we passed by: Union Station, Pancake House, Taste of Sri Lanka, Zorbas Greek food, Tall Grass Prairie, Elements Wine store, Fusion Experience, NuBurger, Hab Sombrero, Simons Steaks, Weinerpeg, The Common, Red Ember, Passeo, Bindy's, Fergies, Danny's All Day Breakfast, Jenna Rae Cakes, McNally Robinson Books, Loving Barber, Deconstruct Jewelry, Teekas, Coal and Canary, The Forks Trading Company, Johnston Terminal, Kite and Kaboodle, Harrisons Coffee, The Antique Mall, and more!

Thank you. We needed some retail therapy. We normally go here on Valentine's day. We "would" have bought. Meat Roll from taste of Sri Lanka. Candle from Coal and Canary. And this would have been the day I bought the BIG BOY and strapped it to the roof of my Corolla.
I’d love to catch that on video as you drove by! 🤣 it was nice to be there with very few others. I’m sure it will start to fill up quick now that the weather is starting to improve.

It a good thing The Forks opened up some food courts and seating areas for the public to enjoy. In Garden City there no seating but some stores and food courts for taking out. Only the mall has walk, shop, haircut and takes out from the food court.
Slowly but surely things will all come back. Better safe than sorry I guess. I’m happy the Forks was swarming with people, we should ease back into it all. Stay well!
