mateuz mogging the stone was probably the strongest i've seen in contrast with all other competitors. nobody else could even budge the stone to shoulder. wild. lucy and thor had so much more in the tank with the deadlift but didn't even need to use it. angelica was SO impressive, but whoever watched America Strongest live knew what she was capable of. Mitch is just unstoppable, good luck to any competitor moving forward.
There were many more cases where he dominated the events in major competitions, straight out of my head I remember pulling the bizarre sled (where trey Mitchell got injured) where he was the only guy to actually finish, pulling some strange implement up a long ramp, running in farmers walk in giants live, one-motioning the log in Arnold's Santa Monica, or even throwing the stone last year. And lifting the stone 4times while few guys got any points there, at Arnold's (3 years ago? Time goes fast..). For sure not a full list..
I agree with all of those statements except Lucy. She was amazing, but it looked like she was basically at her max with the 666 lift. She had to dig deep for that one.
My favourite moment was Jardine walking the monster dumbell 5 feet back to the crash pad, whilst having it fully locked out. Insane strength and etiquette! So happy she won
It was great to see both of them back in good form. Thor is still a bit off where he was with pressing power. Martins was a bit of a disappointment. Not sure if that was just too much time off between comps or something else.
Mateusz never failed a rep on the stone. And the last rep, the stone was 180degrees rotated around the vertical axis. He did not even blink an eye. Amazing
I was most impressed by Mateusz, who threw a huge boulder on his shoulder three times. I've watched it several times and I can't help but admire it. This is true pure power.
The view on the stream was horrendous. I heard the impact from the distance I was sat with all the background noise behind me. Inez is one seriously tough woman to power through that.
@mrsshahlaei451 oh god 😭 absolutely. I'm glad they dimmed straight away too. Really respect her for powering on. She must have been in so much pain and could hardly breathe!
And i dont think he was at the arnolds in 2022 when Martins and I believe Oleksi both shouldered it. Just went and re-watched the 2022 stone to shoulder Martins did 2 reps and Oleksi and Bobby both did 1. Mateusz is an absolute beast!
I went to '22 hoping to see Mateusz but he couldn't go, and when Martins got 2 reps, as good as that was, all I was thinking was "this is bs Mateusz would have 5 here" lmaoo
It really puts into perspective how dominant he is in this event! Especially considering he didn’t compete in 2022 when they had the stone to shoulder, so his rep count could’ve been even higher.
It's even better when you remember the fact that he was absent in 2022 during his recovery and that the event was still part of the competition that year. Wikipedia says that 4 of the 10 total reps were done during that comp. So, even with a year off, STILL way ahead.
When Mateusz started the stone run. I had my parents watching as well and my dad saying " no one is picking up that stone" its 400lbs... then came Mateusz with the flex to prove him wrong 😂😂 sad that my dad didnt believe in his own country mans strength 😅😢
Mateusz's stone lift did it for me. That statistic you provided Loz is astonishing. Odd Haugen coming up afterwards saying that "It's called the Mateusz Stone" sealed it.
the most surprising performance to me was thor beating his personal record in the frame carry very convincingly. He didnt show a lot of training regarding it, but seeing that made me think that he can truly come back to 100%, if not even exceed it, which is crazy to think about. the guy isnt human
@@77slate true, and then again: if someone can have a very big pec muscle tear 10 months ago, then restart training very light only a few months afterwards and then bring his overhead from 0 to a 400lbs axle within a few months, I have no doubts it will be 440 lbs in another few months of training and be back at 100% soon enough to win or place top 3 in them again
@@allylilith5605 absolutely, he's phenomenal in gaining strength, just a bit more time for the overhead and staying injury free he's going to be very very hard to beat, he's fitter now than ever too.
I would assume it’s probably harder to get the pressing power back vs deadlift. I doubt he touched those implements for years when he was doing the boxing and powerlifting. Was great to see him back.
the face full of emotion as mateusz lifts the stone for the final time had me worried he was retiring straight after. The bittersweet sensation of being so capable and so much stronger but also just not quite good enough at all the events which sets him back, a story we all know, a weight that must bear heavily in his mind. I'm glad he hasn't retired. I hope he can get some more moggings and outstanding performances in the future and maybe some titles too. Would love a rep event on squats for the arnold as that seems to be where he has the biggest chance to make it. Or maybe some WSM crazy events that happen to suit him. Mateusz deserves a big international win. Polska Gurom. and also mitch hooper has truly brought a new era to strongman which is impressive
ive been watching strongman for years now. and all of those things where impressive but to me seeing how thor came back, and lifted that up like it was 100 kg is insane to me. the other thing is its crazy how matheuz has not won yet. he has had so many event wins. he really improved on deadlift. so i'm stoked for future competitions
Inez and Angelica both jumped up my personal favs list from this performance. I was expecting to see a mention of Victoria Long's injury, but I do think it was a tasteful decision to not include it here. Better to save a list like this for successes and feats. Get well, Victoria!
The stone event takes a pure brute strength to accomplish so to me, it showed without a doubt that Mateusz was the strongest man on that stage that night. Sure, his deadlift is behind but his ability to exert strength and power on objects not meant to be lifted will likely be unmatched for decades. The man truly is one of a kind in that regard.
The way I consider it is his unmatched ability to put power through a huge range of motion. Other peeps might be stronger on individual, very structured lifts, but if you want something awkward moved Mateusz is the guy to do it.
Such a great show! Setting a new World Record is great. Setting a World Record and making it look easy is amazing! But setting a World Record with a smile on your face is epic!! Loved it!
Worth Mentioning: - Bobby Thompson does one 961 Deadlift and leaves like a Bad ass. - Thor breaks his PR in the frame carry with 8.4s and gets Mateusz on what used to be his event. - Hard fought battle between Thor, Mateusz and Tom for second place in the Dinnie´s. - Mateusz and Tom Equaled former record in the 181Kg Apollon Wheel´s using Push Press.
Inez was the warrior in this competition. Still managed to place 5th with a smashed face. Thats a testament to her true strength. I can only imagine how painful her face must’ve felt from all that exertion. Really freakin bummed about Victoria. I was excited to see her again. Sucks that it also turned out to be her final comp
I feel like you could argue that mateusz is the king of stones. He's the best when it comes awkward stones. And his fastest time on the lighter set of atlas stones isn't far off the WR Tom set a few years ago

This competition was epic! Hooper's performance was unbelievable, you must be VERY proud as his coach, Loz! The Dinnie Stones world record with the side look, and the axle press 5 times for another world record, plus the frame so close to beating Kieliszkowski's best time EVER, was just ridiculous. And then Jardine came to her first professional competition ever and got the gold? And then Kieliszkowski with the stone to shoulder was just unbelievable. And how about Thor's deadlift, coming out of retirement after his injury? Even my girl watched with me and I think she started to understand better why I love this sport so much. It was very exciting! Thanks for your videos, Loz and Liz! Your channel has brought me closer to the strongman community, and recently motivated me to start lifting weights to get stronger too! Mark Henry in the background on AJ's stone to shoulder is hilarious. Watches her lift that shit so easily and just throws his arm up like "this ain't real"
It's insane that was only Thor's 2nd attempt... a 3rd attempt would have likely broken the record, but he was smart to save his energy for the rest of the competition.

I think Mitch is sort of the new Marius P. Not really excelling in any one event in particular or setting world records in every event, but an overall strong guy.
Definitely some protection needed on that frame for next time, it could have been so much worse. I agree her coach should have pulled her out, not worth the risk of carrying on. Sam was a monster and come on Mateusz 👍👏👏
My Highlights: Lucy's Deadlift, Thor's Deadlift, Mateusz' Stonelift/Stone-to-shoulder and of course Super Hooper's Axle Press (look at that 5th lift 😱)!
It’s frustrating Kieliszkowski just can’t get a break & win something major like the Arnold which is currently the pinnacle of Strongman because his deadlift is such a weak event for him compared to other lifters like Thompson or Hooper.
@janoycresva276 True, just unfortunate for him. The best to never win a major title though, well unless you consider when he won WUS in 2019. That was considered a major title for a few years.
@@Adam-gn5kh But that’s sad, to only have 1 title that’s not even considered anymore & not able to win anything else but always coming second simply because your deadlift is so low is awful. If he could just get his deadlift up to a consistent & comfortable 970 lbs, he & Mitchell Hooper would be the next Big Z & Brian Shaw of strongman.
Mateusz finally seeming to be back to form..........and Hafthor proving once again that he can get his body back to massive and powerful quicker than anyone I have ever heard of. This is now, I believe, the 3rd time he has shrunk down and then exploded back to monster size in a way that doesn't even seem possible.
Maxime Boudreault stood out for having the worst luck. First guy out on the first event, got injured on his first attempt at lifting it and had to drop out.
Maybe I'm just a Maxime fan but what about when he tore his lat on his opener after coming back from his ankle injury? Or Victoria tearing her hamstring? Even bobby coming out of nowhere to just do one heavy deadlift was a pretty exciting moment. Martins doing poorly on the deadlift made me go oh shit as well. So much so say about this year's Arnold's. I really enjoyed being able to watch this event live!
I would still love to see Mitch attempt more squat cleans or in case of the axle perhaps hang squat cleans. I am sure we are far away from what he is actually capable of.

If only mateuz could address his static strength he would be unstoppable
Somebody oughta make a compilation of every stone to shoulder.
Jebus mateusz with that stone. Absolute madlad
I would still love to see Mitch attempt more squat cleans or in case of the axle perhaps hang squat cleans. I am sure we are far away from what he is actually capable of.
Thor will pull 505 or more this year
Angelica Jardine is an absolute beast she’s gonna be winning a lot more competitions in my opinion
I don't follow strongwomen that much, so I was really surprised to see Jardine dominate the stones just as much as Mateusz.
Everyone was surprised since it's her first pro comp lol
