Betty and Allen seem like teenagers that just went on their first date. Betty's giggles are just so cute... She seemed so happy. Rest in peace to both of you. I really hope there is a heaven and you guys are together again
There is a heaven.🙏 Talk to God and He will love hearing from you. God loves you.♥️
Yes if she said allen as her last word I really hope they are together again.❤️
@@TheMimis11 They are. There is a heaven and God is Real so we all really need to get to know Him while we are temporarily here on the Earth. Jesus died for our sins so that we could get forgiveness from Him and have a close relationship with Him. He loves us more than we can ever imagine. So get to know Him.
There isnt, so they’re both just dead.

Wow, I just realized Betty who looks 25 here is 43 years old and pure beautiful.
41
While very pretty, I’d say she definitely looks late 30s / early 40s here. 25 is a big stretch.
I agree with this old comment. But what do I know Abt what's old and what's not. She does look 25. U can say what u want here in the world of freedom
I think she looks 25 but young people looked a bit older in those days because they looked more sophisticated.
With the flabby arms, she looks 43
As Betty slept during the night of December 31, 2021, her beloved Allen whispered in her ear " The password is HOME ". And off she went..... 💕
That's how I see it too.
🦋🎂🐩
He probably heard her calling. Her last word was supposedly "Allen", and she went to him shortly after that.
Awe, that's sweet
What a beautiful thought. They seemed so much in love. I know they had problems with 1 of his kids right up until the end. I heard her call his son “there son” in an interview.
When someone asked Betty White why she never remarried, she said: "When you've had the best, forget the rest." Allen was the love of her life, and no doubt, she was the love of his life.
betty and allen were married 17 years. allen passed away 3 days before their being together for 18 years.
Betty once said her only regret in life was not marrying Allen earlier.

What was the cause of his death since he passed away quite young?

Thank you!
Betty White is such a fast thinker, she's brilliant!
@Just a Girl yes, she WAS. Met her briefly when I sat in a studio audience for JUST MEN in 1983 & she was extremely quick and witty and she was addressed as the "Queen of Ad-Libs"
Watch her with Craig Ferguson.
She still is...in her 90's! Great lady!
Watch her interviews, she is quick-witted and brilliant. Allen was, too to keep up with her. An enviable ❤ love, perfect match!
Betty good at this game
Rue said Betty is pure brains, she would memorize all her weekly lines in 2 days
I have a feeling once Betty White crosses over, Allen will be there waiting. He will greet her with a, "Hi, doll!" Then ask, "What is the password?" Betty will reply with, "Home. Will you take me home please, Mr. Ludden?" Allen will then grab her hand and say, "I certainly will, Mrs. Ludden." Then off they go hand-and-hand into eternity together.
But Allen calls Betty's mom *doll*
So beautiful!
Does she get to be in her 40's again? Because he ain't nearly a 100.
That was probably the best paragraph I have ever had the pleasure of reading about two people in love. The day will come, it will happen.Have blessed day
Literally in tears 😭
I think I can speak for everybody when I say we all want an Allen Ludden in our lives.
This is a momentous episode. Betty and Allen had just gotten married and were coming back to New York from their honeymoon. They went directly from the airport to do this episode. That explains the wonderful romance in the sign-off: Allen says, "The password tonight is ..." and Betty says ... well, watch it.
That sign off was wonderful ...
No they had done I've got a secret the night before
Thanks, for that extra insight. It, definitely, adds to this taping, for me.
@ Sharon Young, it was actually What's My Line
It showed how much they were in love and she was fluttered each time she had to answer some of the questions. I loved it. No wonder she never got remarried he was the best thing in her life.
Betty was a wonderful Password player. Allen must have been proud of her.

Just a Girl she was great before they were married-so no you can’t say she was favored! She is a legend...
11:20 I have never before heard henpeck
This one episode kills me. Not because of game play, because of how much love is shown between Betty and Allen. Those two were in love.
+jrrutten It's pretty obvious, judging by their little exchange at the end. That pretty much said it all.
bluebear1985
bluebear 1961
jrrutten . They got married in1963. She was 43. They had something few couples have. You can tell that there is an intense attraction. I wish they had had more time together.
@@AB-nd6lo So do I 😢
My grandmother, who did not speak a word of English, adored them -- and was able to figure out they were married from early on.
I still miss them both -- my sweet grandmother and the darling Allen Ludden, a sweet heart as well.
Omg, they’re so ridiculously, immensely in love. Look how they smile at each other. HOW CUTE ARE BETTY AND ALLEN??? 😍😍😍😍😍
Betty is absolutely giddy.
They're truly the best couple Hollywood ever had. Their love was something else and every time I see them I can't stop smiling
You know when u find ur true love and soul mate its like magic and its hard to think of not having them around
@@ashleybarnard2538 she still gets super emotional when she talks about him. She even mentioned that she gets weepy when she hears “Misty”...that was their song. ❤️
@@ashleybarnard2538 this couple are an example of love.
"If he can be a comedian, so can I 'Me!’" That was the best!😂
what did jack parr say though?
@@ashrafbadreddine9470 He said "marvelous".
@@bluebear1985 thank you :)
I meant at the 20:40 something mark. Should have put it in a separate comment
I love how she giggles when the love of her life Allen was talking to her. ❤️
🐩🎂🦋
Today this episode is very fitting. 40 years ago Allen Ludden went home, today he took Betty home sure she took a 40 year detour but she got there in the end like we all do some day
The feels....
When Allen referred to the audience (and us) as "our friends," one can tell he really meant it.
He is our forever friend 💖
It's cute how much they were fascinated with each other. No wonder Mrs. Ludden never remarried after his passing.
🐩🎂🦋
I never enjoyed myself so much over one game show! Not only was this a classic game show, it was humorous, witty, and the first show after Allen and Betty were married. If this doesn’t pull at your heartstrings, nothing will!
Aww...it's so sweet to see Allen and Betty so obviously in love :)
Weren't they awesome??
I watched this the 1st time. Never missed Password. Now Betty is 97 and I'm 77. Wow! I'm kind of impressed with us.
Many, including myself are jealous that you've had more time with the beloved Betty White. Oh what I would give to just hug her, and tell her how much I wished as an adult that she was my grandmother instead of the grandmother I did have. I love her and I don't know her, and she don't know me but I still love her. I know it's crazy, makes no sense, however, I just simply can't help it. She has a heart of gold. If only I was lucky enough to meet her.
@Meg
Was your grandmother that bad? That's how I read your comment. As much as I loved Betty White, I still wouldn't want her to replace my own grandmas. All are gone now watching over me. Betty White can be my honorary grandma in heaven though. All are meeting each other now.
you were 20 years then , you are living history. lady
@@thecore477 Even more so now. Will be 80 in February. Betty beat me to the Other Side. Salud. A bit of wine every day keeps the doc away. May you be blessed many times over.
@@patsylvest thank you, from Venezuela
“ What did you have in mind Allen?”.. he he… how charming, natural and funny
Her only regret in life was not marrying Allen sooner, when he asked the first time. She wanted every moment with him. Incredible.
My god, I've been continuously in love with Betty White for some 70 years now, ever since Life With Elizabeth when I was 10. Steadfast and faithful, she never disillusioned me in all those years. And that's why so many of us are mourning her now.
Farewell dimpled one!
23:14--23:21 I wish my marriage had been like theirs, she seemed so happy and playful...her dimples are so lovely.
I’m in love with those dimples!
Omg they’re giggly and lovey dovey. Ah newlyweds. Way too cute 🥰
This has to be the cutest episode! They were a perfect match!
The man whispering the password was trying real hard to hold his laughter. Lol
That will have been Jack Clark. Having seen him host game shows himself later, I'd not forget that voice.
Even to a child in the early '60's, as I was, Betty and Alan's love was noticeable and comforting. It was the Cold War. The threat of sudden death from the skies was unnerving. People like John Charles Daly, Arlene Francis and the whole gameshow clan were a help. I miss them.
Absolutely..my sentiments also..
She said “when you’ve had the best why bother with the rest”
Back together again, prayerfully!
🦋 🎂 🐩
She’s so smitten with her love
I was hooked on this show as a kid. I loved Allen, thought he was the perfect host. Betty, of course, was amazing.
Betty’s giggle is adorable 🙃
I hope that some way, somewhere, Betty and Allen are together again. 💙
They Are Definitely Together Again 🙂
Now Betty is happily meeting Allen again. May the world's Golden Girl and Allen rest in peace.
🐩🎂🦋
I've seen quite a few episodes of Password (including various versions, like Password Plus and Super Password), and this is definitely my favorite episode. With the wonderful romance between newlyweds Betty & Allen, and Jack Paar's Marvelous/Me clue that somehow actually worked, this episode would be hard to beat.
Paul71H Jack truly did think he was marvellous.
It has been reported that Betty's last word was "Allen". Yes, I'm crying right now.
I hope hope hope that’s true
I thought she died in her sleep.
🦋 🎂 🐩
i love the interactions between betty and allen, they're so funny together and they truly were made for eachother
14:22 That clue for _Me_ and the response has to be a highlight of the entire series.
Is “ Marvelous me” a line from a song or a movie? Or was it an expression back then? “
@@BAfan-tt9zl I think he was referring to himself as "marvelous".
Now that I’m 71 years old… It was only a couple of years ago that I realized exactly how handsome Allen was. In my younger days, I just saw him as being kind of geeky especially with those glasses. Now, I can just see him as extremely sexy and handsome… And so did Betty 😂😂😂❤❤
So romantic, made me cry with sadness. Allen passed away too soon. Betty never remarried.
The sparkle in Allen and Betty's eyes when they looked at each other, I had forgotten it was possible to be that happy.
Betty was so great on game shows because she seemed to be genuinely happy helping people win money. Others were like her, like Bret Sommers, Richard Dawson, Kitty Carlisle, but Betty just had an X factor that put her above them.
The ending always makes me cry! :.-)
Betty was 41 yrs old here & looks pretty young for her age. I can’t believe she’s now 99 years old & will be 100 yrs old January 17th next year
Congratulations!!! I hope you are well.
God Bless you!
Betty had a great smile. The shape of her eyes plus her dimples gave her face, what I can only describe as, a child like appearance. Does that make sense to anyone else?
She was a beautiful woman, half Greek half German.
YES...She's adorable.
I love how when the password is “henpecked” you can hear the person reading it to the people at home cracking up😂
She’s so beautiful. At every stage of her life but here… she’s just glowing.
🦋🎂🐩
Imagine television just showing these kinds of shows on every channel one day around the world. All day long.
Might bring class back into people's lives
Watching this on the day of her passing.
🦋 🎂 🐩
Amazing how young Betty White looked before the Golden Girls. Even her voice was younger before she has the voice we recognize today.
Betty White was probably the only person on television that never changed her looks from that day to this
I think she stayed away from plastic surgery. She was always beautiful.
Margaret She admitted to getting an eye job during her marriage to Allen.
J W - Amazing??? What a dumb remark, Betty always looked young, even on the golden Girls, much younger than Blanche or Dorothy
Ugh she was young! Lol about 30 yrs younger
The love they expressed to each other at the end was so wonderful.
Betty’s dimples are adorable! She still have them.
She do.
Classic stuff here. Betty is a treasure.
Bettys laugh is so adorable 🥰
This show was always an all time favorite!! Cerebral but not too much, and the guests and players were so often entertaining. Here, I think Betty is just great. She sure is a talented and very bright woman!
Watching this is bringing tears to my eyes. But at least I'm sure that when Betty arrived in Heaven, Allen was there waiting with his hand stretched out saying "Hi, doll". And I'm sure they're playing Password with Bert Convy, Bill Cullen, Tom Kennedy and Regis Philbin. It's probably a big party up there right now. Thanks for the memories, Betty.
Just leave Jimmy Fallon out of it.
I was a young 19-year-old college coed on that day. If you freeze frame at 28 seconds you can see me in front of the bald man over the W. Crazy how long ago that was. Seems like yesterday.
I froze it at 28 seconds. I see you! How cool is that?! Wow!
Oh my god she was just so lovely!
We love this couple. How sweet they are together. We can tell he was the love of her life.
🦋🎂🐩
They look so good together. Finally matched made in heaven.
🦋🎂🐩
These are so wonderful to watch. I use to watch this show way back. I'm sure Allen was there to help his beloved Betty to join him, when she passed, her last words they say was "ALLEN" They were so wonderful together. Betty was a very smart wonderful woman, she will be truly missed!!!!❤😇🙏
🐩🎂🦋
Betty White was such great password player. It's almost like she's playing a crossword puzzle.
Allen and Betty were just adorable! Betty was so cute with those dimples of hers.
She was so in love she's giddy ❤️
Loved this show today and it shows that Betty and Allen truly in love and an awesome feeling❤️😀
What a love story for Allen and Betty. A few weeks short of 18 years together
🐕🦺 Happy ONE HUNDREDTH Birthday Betty !! 🐩🎂🍧🍬🍭 Blessings from California. 🦜🦚
8:51 When he finally said "Lawyer", they way he said it, like he knew they were playing with him, and Betty's giggle, so funny!!
They had not had a. Honey moon. Allen had spent all his time off in California courting Betty.
Betty is acting so cute those 2 are definitely soul mates.
A very sweet show. Betty and Allen made such a great couple!

I like how Bob outstretched his arms with every clue
I’m 30 but I love these classic game shows. And I love how giggly, flirty and in love Betty and Allen were with each other. Adorable and romantic
Great to see these shows again. Betty and Allen have fun playing this game like we have fun watching.

Used to watch this during the Beatle days! I miss Betty so much. After 4 decades she was still great on Hot in Cleveland!!!
Betty White and Allen Ludden were married seventeen years. Allen passed away just five days before their eighteen wedding anniversary. Do to stomach cancer just five before their eighteen wedding anniversary.
You could tell they were so happy
SHE SNORTED AT 6 to 9!! 4:53 Ahhh amazing.
I love these shows!
I love Betty’s fist pump at 12:32.
And again at 21:26!
Betty and Allen were vary much in love with each other it was evident this clip. That they were just not newlyweds but that were lovers. Betty was sending Allen sublingual massages.
They were on their way home from their honeymoon in Los Angeles.
I have watched a lot of password in my time, this is one of the best!!
Talk about chemistry.
its good to have a natural laugh watching these means I'm not totally jaded
Betty White and Allen Ludden were married 18 years before he died of cancer He was only 63. Much to early to passed away
Pam Hi
Do you happen to know what year this was?
@@sweetcurly28 it was 1963, Sue.
Allen passed away in 1981.
@@mariab6389 From what I heard,Tom Kennedy was personally chosen by Allen to continue after Allen left Password+ and eventually his death.
Way too early. 😕😢
Tom Kennedy hosted Password Plus up until it ended in March of 1982.
My Goodness Betty White was a true pioneer throughout her career. I love The Golden Girls. She was also in Maude who was Bea Arthur who played in The Golden Girls. Beautiful classy woman. 😊

Mary Tyler Moore, she never appeared on Maude. Not to my knowledge.
I love betty white and Allen Ludden
What did ya have in mind Alan? I'm melting. Betty is so pretty when she smiles like that. Swooon

I just love betty and allen ty for your entertainment and the laughter we enjoy from you guys stay blessed in your heavenly world amen

The night before this show aired, Betty and Allen were on What’s My Line as the Mystery Guests.
Betty was a frequent guest on Paar's "Tonight Show" back in the days when she starred in "Life with Elizabeth ". Alan was the original host of the "GE College Bowl" when the questions weren't dumbed down the way they are in the current version.
I think her appearances on Paar's show had a role in meeting Ludden. At any rate, her frequent appearances on Password revealed that there was a sharp mind behind that bubbly facade.
Miss you already Betty.
58 years ago. Betty loved Allen so much, she never wanted to be married again, because she already "had the best."
🦋 🎂 🐩
Awww they were so cute!!
Is it just me or does everyone look more handsome and beautiful in those days? PS I can definitely see why Betty said once you've had the best who needs the rest! They are so cute together!
🦋🎂🐩
I remember watching Password with my grandmother at 7 or 8 years old 😊
I love Jack Parr’s expression when he says “Square” and she says “Dance”
There's a massive advantage to going second
Massive! In later versions I remember the players had the right to pass or play. I liked that.
Thumbs up for all of them!
Betty was so adorable and so lovely and down to earth. Only as older too much vulgar things on TV. But like Lucille Ball, she will remain and icon who is never forgotten.
Hi Mr. Paar - when i could i loved watching his late night show. it was really intellectual says the back then 12 y.o. :} 🧐🤨😋
Rest in Peace Betty!
