- Hey all. Here for the next horror cover comes a piece from the moment when Alice from "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4" began preparing to face Freddy Krueger .
This was one of more uplifting moments that came from the 4th entry into the series, one of which I liked watching to this day. Originally the music was a modified piece scored after the song "Don't be afraid of your dreams" by the group "Go West".
Here is an instrumental cover of the version heard in the movie. As always thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy.

Lisa Wilcox "Alice" is from Columbia Missouri where the Mizzou Tigers are based, about two and half hours away from where I was raised, always a fun college town to hang out. She was always my favorite final girl in the Nightmare on Elm street franchise. Nightmare 4 came out the year I was born and was the first one I saw as a kid. Parents that let their kids watch horror movies are the cool ones. Thanks Mom and Dad!!

Very cool, So did you write the Go West version first or after the instrumental? Which was envisioned first? Shame the pop version AND the instrumental are so hard to obtain, its a gem.
I wrote the song first. Originally the artist was to be Fee Waybill of the Tubes. Got changed to Go West while I was at studio in North Hollywood recording the song. The pop version is available on the CD Nightmare On Elm Street 4. Only Peter Cox of Go West appears on the pop version. The track was all ready recorded by myself and he came in and recorded his fantastic vocal. All instruments were by me except guitar solo was Danny Jacobs. Thanks for your interest. MIKE

interesting, Yes true its only on the NOES4 CD, perhaps due to how it was recorded is why its never appeared on a Go West comp? Or label issues. In any case, one of my favorite tunes from the 1980s.Fee Waybill eh - that could be interesting.
Man, Nightmare on Elm Street part 1, 3, and 4 are true classics.

Agreed 1, 3 and 4 are the best, 2 and 6 are also worth watching at-least once but 5 and 7 shouldn't even exist honestly.

This song has always been such a big part of my life, since i was 5! Im now 31 and like i said, it's been my work out song, my to go song when i feel like running to the bottle. But in a way its been my waking up song, that no matter how down I am and how low i am, i can beat the evil! Again thank you!
