I don’t leave many comments but have to chime in here. This the first time I ever heard someone talk sense about the scoring issue. I agree 100%. You are a smart man.
Nice work! A lot like my 997. I’m in the process of a 4.0 build right now. I have the .1 GT3 front bumper, but I did the .2 RS rear decklid and spoiler on mine. Mine is seal grey metallic. Question? How was it to fit a center mount exhaust on the car? That’s one of the mods I want to do as well. I want to do the GT3 rear bumper.
I've seen this car a couple of times in Charlton, though it looks a little different from that last time that I did. If this is going to cost GT3 money or more, you have to be quite dedicated to pay that.
Very cool sounds amazing a bit like my project DTC although Ive gone a bit more extreme.... especially now I've cut the roof off on my TH-cam channel 😂
“It’s heavily modified”…body kit and wheels? Aesthetically looks cool, but still has a long way to go before it’s faster than a Mezger GT3. I think perhaps I would have held off on this feature until he has the engine and performance mods done. Right now it’s all show.
At least put on new tires... And how much would a set of coilovers have been? Bro could have got those instead of the paint job or seats/steering wheel.
That's all good but I would strongly suggest you don't go 4.1 litre supercharged with the engine. The M96 and M97 engine has two significant weak points when going for big power, the crankshaft is one but mainly it's the capacity of the oil pump. The pump is absolutely tiny compared to the Mezger engine and it just can't cope with big power outputs, especially if used on track. I wouldn't go above 400 bhp personally. That's why Porsche stuck with the Mezger for the 997 Turbo and GT3 models! Interestingly the oil pump on the subsequent 9A1 engine is also huge.
Your not going sell many if any, it’s a personal project you are building for yourself, but it’ll be too expensive for what it is and never have a resell value more than a regular 997. A 4 litre still ain’t a Metzger and will never be anywhere as good or even close to being as good.
Disagree. The metzger is a beautiful engine, but that’s not what he’s selling. He’s selling the mods to bring you close to a GT3 without paying the money for a real one. Also, there’s a reason they did away with the Metzger after the 997.
Can’t take this seriously, track focused but no mention of suspension, brakes or tyres (horrible tyre decals) universal side skirts and a universal front lip with some 3d printed bit. Fake Recaro , GT3 replica body kit , should have just fitted an aero bumper and accepted it for what it is . I’ll bet my own 911 that thing never get a 4.1 . Don’t get me wrong it’s a cool modified 997 but it’s definitely not a track focus quicker than a GT3 build .
❤😂😢😢😢😮😮😮😅😊😊😊😊😊 Trevor go for a ride and then talk about the Porsche after that’s what I would do drive the Porsche and then talk about the Porsche that Porsche is so sweet and nice. Keep up the good work. Take care. Have a good week peace, my brother.
GT3RS (which he is trying to copy) has a widebody. Also there are much more differences between a base C2 or C2S over a GT3 or GT3RS. He could have gotten a GT3 and spend money on some JRZ/MCS coilovers and drop in a 4L or 4.2L stroker kit for more power. This is all show and no go.
❤😂😢😮😮😅😅😊😊😊😊😊😊 Trevor if I had that Porsche be racing that damn thing up and down the street and the track and the freeway and people get side next to me. Smoke them in the dust. Keep up the good work.
❤😂😢😮😅😊😊😊😊 is that a bigger shift so he could do drifting for the big handle for the shift keep up the good work take care of Trevor. Have a good week and I want to see your Porsche rip just like that one.

Love the 997 - a proper rebuild to 4 litres (or more), with Nikasil liners, titanium rods and some head/cam work is what’s really needed.

That thing looks wicked slammed on those orange lettered race like tires. Cheers
Lower mileage .1s are actually the ones you want to stay away from if you're afraid of IMS and bore scoring.
Man, I love everything about that 997 apart from the green centre section. Great video. Looking forward to seeing their progress.
Thanks

We can revisit and see how far it's progressed. I think that would make for a good follow up video.

@@iluvcakes19 what makes you think I don't have coilovers or tyres 😅?

Quite the project. Revisit when the supercharger is in please!
You said you would link him and I don't see it

❤😂😢😮😮😮😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 Trevor what is the cheapest Porsche over there in UK over here is too damn expensive. It might be a little bit cheaper over there.
No such thing as a cheap Porsche just cheap examples. But if you buy cheap you pay more in repairs
Hey Trev, notice you showin an interest in ya buds speed yellow one, with low miles!!! That wud increase ya posts for sure!!

Good review but what a waste. He's only done cosmetic "upgrades" to a Carrera.

These engines are not made for track.. Yeaaahh..
