@@_end3rguy_ I can literally count the polygons on his head. Of course it's shaded differently but what I'm telling is that you can create angular looking characters even on a flat surface.

In my opinion, this is Sonic's best 3D model. Everything about it just clicks perfectly for me and it's shining with low-poly greatness, and to see it be drawn so well here makes me quite pleased. Swell work!
@@Sir_GrimReaper I don't really like to think of that one as Modern Sonic. Like, obviously it IS, but I feel like his Riders version just looks a lot more interesting.
The extremely cool thing is that this drawing demonstrates a high understanding of lighting and how it affects, not just any shape, but 3D polygons (which are 2D shapes on this canvas), and you executed it very well. It looks so beautiful, and the pose is striking, so excellent work! I really should play Sonic the Fighters...
Found your channel somehow in my recommended. Good work! The style is pretty fire. I probably might’ve not known it wasn’t 3D but I guess the work on X really triggered a gut feeling. 😅 Good work on the Timelapse! Awesome stuff! :D
I used to play sonic fighters all the time with my dad back when we had the Xbox 360 (I think that’s what we played it on.) sonic was a big part of my childhood.
I thought from the thumbnail the pic on the upper right corner was a reference pic. Good god, that is insane! How did you manage to capture the look of a low poly model in 2D this well?!
You have to have had the original model on hand when doing the shading there's no way anyone can be that accurate. If not then I am deeply shocked and impressed. Awesome job either way.
I did studied the model before hand to understand the design as accurate as possible! (Though the polygons definitely doesn't make any sense lol) The lighting is pretty simple, just need to select where I wanted my light source to be and reference a few official renders !
@@stupidfred4463 see as someone who loves drawing the character I would never be able to do something like this without the model available for reference lol. Anyway I think if I showed this to Sonic Retro as lost official renders on April Fools they would’ve probably believed me
You'd look at the thumbnail thinking "Oh, the one on the right is a reference."
Turns out...
thats exactly what i was thinking..
That's what I wish to think!
REALYYY
First time seeing someone drawing in 2D a low poly looking model.
Polygonism is real.
It’s not low poly it’s just shaded flat making the quads more noticeable
@@_end3rguy_ I can literally count the polygons on his head.

@@ikagura yeah its reasonable polycount not low poly. higher polygon counts are usually unreasonable
Polygonism? Is it a religion?
@@taufikrigo Yes, feel free to join.
I fully clicked on this expecting to see some kinda 3D modeling timelapse but im not complaining
wdym you fully click on it does that mean its possible to halfly click on something
@niffuiM4205 i think he meant "i clicked on this fully expecting..."

the profile sonic on the thumbnail really tricked me into think it was just the reference for the bigger drawing

Im sorry, you D R E W a 3D model?
That's bananas
fighters sonic is probably the best interpretation of what sonic would look like in 3d minus the low poly look to him, and you can't change my mind
I guess it has a low poly look to him so it’s a bit more simplistic idk-
@@kingkaisworld3413it has a low poly look because is a game from the early 90s
I like the low poly look
Best 3d version of classic sonic in my opinion
This might be the dumbest comment i ever read
My jaw was on the floor for the entire video.
I had to check the comments to make sure this wasn't a 3d modeling software, lol. Great work, man!
Honestly this litterally looks like a 3d model thats how good it is, Ive never seen someone draw a character in a low polygones style, Amazing
The fact this is 2D art is absolutely AMAZING! Keep up the good work!
I was waiting to see a 3d model but i got way more impressed by this
The music from what I’m assuming to be Sonic Fighters music truly adds to this epic “3D Sonic in 2D” drawings x2.!.!

this is so cool! you did such a great job giving the art a polygonal look!
Fighters sonic was Peak classic sonic design, fight me.
cool my favorite is sonic r

Bro dropped the most grongalicious art and thought we wouldn't notice
This is such an interesting way to render your art! I love how it turned out looking like the fighters model! Have a great day!
Amazing! So accurate and consistent with the colors and lines for the model. Its crazy to say you literally just drew a 3D model.
for someone called stupid fred you actually seem pretty competent...
reporting for false advertising!
loved it!!!!!!!
Genuinely crazy how they really made it look like the game

No way, you turning that into 3d artwork without any 3 models or any 3d pieces like it’s nothing is crazy man,you got some serious talent 💪⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍

So you sketch in paper and then you actually draw on digital? COOL

that needs to be the sonic fighters official art concept
Wow, this actually looks 3d. This is just amazing.
Literally how !! You could've fooled me into thinking it was a 3D model !
What kind of dark magic is this?!
This is beautiful, idk how you were able to even THINK of how to turn a super polygonal model of sonic and completely render it as a 2D drawing 🤩🤩
I've never seen anyone do 3D style art from 2D before, this is mind bogglint, you are truly talented, keep beint awesome ;;
WOAH THIS IS SO COOL!! I guess art of low poly models can count as a form of cubism haha
This brings me so much joy
I saw the thumbnail thinking that the sonic in the top right was a reference image 😭. great job!
Never knew you had TH-cam. Love your art.
how tf this guy draw a 3d model
How the hell are you able to make this, it's so damn GOOD! 💯🔥💯🔥

Wow this is a neat drawing and easier way to draw digitally love how u draw it on a paper and trace it its neat now i can easily draw on a tablet

I dont know you managed to make that polygon 3d look, its amazing!
this takes a whole new meaning to rendering

3D now: Trying create something between 3D and 2D.
