Hello Logan, i have one question what do you think about strikebreaker on briar, it gives hp, slows them when you get to them with W. Im talking about jungle wariant
Although stride does A LOT of things you’d generally like as Briar, it does them all really averagely. So i’m not not the biggest fan; if they buff the damage i’d play it

This was not only a midlane masterclass (pun intended) it was also a psychological prep to what you'll see when playing Briar mid. And he also played it cool, game was in his hands all the time, no griefing, locked in to secure the win despite getting 3 lane gapped! This mans the GOAT.

I’d say in the kog game here maybe you’re underestimating your trade potential. I always play scared until level 3, but then I jump on them instantly for a 3 auto trade and get out. Assuming you’re playing around cc with mages, 90% of midlaners cannot do more than match your damage through the first trade and disengage. Then you wait for E cooldown and repeat. Only this time you go back to the same hp and they are one more trade off dead/dead already if you took ignite.
Also since the majority of midlane is basically playing like tristana and short trade harrassing, imo boots are a bad buy. Briar scales so well with AD I always get pickaxe first back followed by 3 longswords before even getting warhammer.
Briar midlane plays a lot like trist/shen mid, you jumpscare your laner and take the timed trades grabbing kills if you can, then the moment they start to play safe/arent worth gold, you shove and roam. Being a lane bully and having constant prio pairs so well with briars mobility because you can be there for every single fight your jng needs you and a flash WQ R bot gank can cement bot leads or grab a juicy shutdown alternatively.
Long winded I know, I’m just concerned that new briar mid players may watch this and miss the potential she has to be an absolute lane bully off E cd. Sure some matchups like malz, fizz, shaco, teemo, etc can and will give you fits, and you should ALWAYS play super scared pre3, but otherwise even ww cant match your sustain and trade.

As a briar main who already plays briar mid. I don't think cassiopeia is strong against briar mid or top whatsoever. I think it's a really easy match up for briar. You beat her hard lvl 1 and 2 easily and all lvls really. She's an immobile mage. Never lost vs a cassio mid, and in fact my first game as briar mid was vs one... Made me think she's a bit more OP than she is. You don't even need shield vs cassio mid like some mage match ups, you can easily beat her with dorans blade. I do think veigar isn't a great match up. But cassio for sure is.
If you're beating Cassio for free, KEEP IT UP.
It is OBJECTIVELY a TERRRRIBBBLEEEEE match up not even close. Sometimes it will be you that's beating a champ and not your champ. It's okay to take some credit friend
