I describe Freedom Call as" happy power metal" any song you hear from them puts a smile on your face. It's so contagious.

Freedom Call is from my hometown in Germany, I really like this band. Quite the "Happy Metal" Band :D Good song, it sure sticks to your ear for a while.
Freedom Call. One of the few Power Metal bands that started in the 90´s and still make great albuns. 2 years ago, i saw them some 20 km away from home, which i didn´t ever dreamed as possible when i started listening to them 20 years ago.
2:00 Metal is (there) For Everyone (who wants/needs), so I think it makes sense.
Reminds me of the old days when I saw them 8 times with Iced Earth and Metaprism(!), one year ago.

Freedom Call, the happy metal band. I think this band was formed by the drummer of Gamma Ray. Which was formed by the the guitarist of Helloween. A german speed metal-ception. Here's another fan-made video (kind of) : Skálmöld - Múspell.
And the current guitarist of Helloween (Sascha Gerstner) was in Freedom Call before.

Catching up with _reactions_ of yours I forgot to watch *over* the last "1 month", with quick comments, *part 7:* Knowing this band only by their name, I was kinda reacting simultaneously with you. It is uplifting indeed, with just the right amount of self-aware winking and cheese - yet the song is still *totally* kick-ass! _Now_ I want to know more about them! *Bonus* points for your video because of the *Rivers of Nihil* shirt - that band *completely* blindsided and steamrolled me; I was heard of them when _Where Owls Know My Name_ was the most voted album on BangerTV's "Metal We Missed 2018" video. That album is IN-sane great!

I got into Freedom Call back around 2005 or so. But lost interest in them in recent years. But this song was pretty kick ass. That heavier guitar riff was pretty cool, and then that quirky high pitched thing near the end. That was damn cool.

I grew up watching the 2nd trilogy but yeah the original trilogy is better. The prequels arent horrible but they aren't great and I agree with your comment about jar-jar.
I was a kid when the second SW trilogy came out. Honestly, I don't think they should be compared to the OT. the Originals are kind of the main story, while the Prequels are more of a backstory/filler story. the OT is better than the Prequels, but the OT is even better when you have the backstory provided by the prequels. The new trilogy is absolutely horrendous though. Also, Freedom Call, great band!
Freedom Call was a great powermetal band but they have lost their touch IMO. Check out the track "Freedom Call" from their second album The Crystal Empire - one of my all time favorite powermetal songs, just huge!

Great song - melodic and clean vocals, no need to read the lyrics. What more does anyone need? P.S. Bad guys in movies always have the poorest aim, even with automatic weapons, they can't hit shit, let alone the good guys.
