You are absolutely remarkable my friend. I have tried multiple ways of trying to learn swift through other courses and youtubers and have struggled along the way because this is just such foreign nature to me and I have never heard anyone teach this as well as you do. Thank you I actually can't even believe this is free
Having taught for 6 years myself, I must say that you are an excellent instructor. Prepared, covering & clarifying points and preparing the learner for what is to come. Great job!
I don't often comment on videos but man your videos are so helpful. Nobody else on TH-cam or the internet breaks down the steps, explains why they are doing a certaun thing, answers my questions which I'm thinking in my head and does it all with a smile on their face enjoying every moment of it. Love your videos keep up the good work, you've got a new subscriber today! 😎
Class, was waiting for this video. I'm currently in college studying computer science, so I have a good understanding of how to code, just learning syntax and how to code with app development.
Glad you are enjoying this series! Next week we will dive deeper into more Swift programming! Soon, everything will make sense and you'll be able to have an app! @AdrienVillez
As a C# developer the way Swift uses special keywords a certain way is kind of strange. Why not allow you to declare... string greeting = "Hello, Playground"? That way of strong typing a variable with a colon seems overly verbose. The let keyword is used completely different in Javascript. Why not just use const like all the other C-style languages?
Hi, Chris! Your videos are amazing, loving the process. I was just wondering, when you assign "greeting" to a variable with "var", the computer knows that greeting means hello playground, but further in the video you assigned it to "i can write swift" without the "var". Do the computer need to have a variable assigned to the text to understand or can you just put "greeting =" and whatever you want?
Never mind, you just assign the "hello, playground" to the "var" to show that it is a string type, and then after that, you can change the "greeting" to whatever text you want, right?
In order to go back to the war card game, we must first learn some code.. lessons 5-7 will be code related and then we can apply the code to the war card game in lesson 8 - Pat
Hi do things change with xcode 14 or can I use xcode 14 and follow up with all th app development and Swift tutorials on the CWC+ website like the foundations course the databases course and the ar kit and things like that or should I wait for new tutorials from you
1 lesson a day is plenty for me. thanks again for this great tutorial series! Not that' it's probably relevant to this project but this lesson in particular got me curious about how they created the swift ui to interpret the code. like how does a coding language get created? I assume you need a code language to create a new one...which makes me wonder how they created the first coding language? anyway...just waxing. cheers
