That the problem between critic and consumer, over time the critic has spent so long in these worlds that they notice and are annoyed by things the usual consumer wouldn't care about. So what the critic enjoys is what the consumer doesn't have the time to appreciate. I get the want to experience all the cool shit everyone else is talking about, but so much so that you rush to the end of one game to start the process again? Doesn't that just feel shitty. Do you drop games often? If they're no longer fun have you ever given up? Taken a break from a world to try a shorter one?
When you grow up without that much money and then have other responsibilities and hobbies other than video games you end up still playing games that are a decade old like me. I've never known how it feels to preorder a game or play a multiplayer game while it's still popular. Great video though. Your voice suits this stuff man.
outgrowing video games is something i had to really sit down and come ion peace with since games were a big part of my life for a long time. the moment i realized i was rushing a game to get to the end i realized it's just not for me anymore and accepted that it's no longer a hobby i enjoy. as i type this im hopping on warzone just cuz my friend wants to play and im going to hate every second
Just play games you enjoy most of you should be old enough to understand that different people have different opinions but we have to act like we’re having this discussion for the first time every day since video games message boards first came out
Man, this really hits close to home. I've consumed more game centric content than the amount of games I've played. You have encouraged me to introspect through this short video. Thank you for this.
Felt like that for BotW last year. World was uninteresting and I found it baffling how people praised its "exploration" and yet I found it to be the biggest gaming disappointment of my backlog clear of 2023. There was other games, however, that left their mark. The game changer for me was getting a steam deck. I get to play 1 hour ish every night before going to sleep and I look forward to that hour every single day and I'm slowly going through my neverending backlog.
this only has 200 views and its talking exactly about me. i think youtube is trying to tell me something.

Me getting this on my TH-cam homepage after I just got every single achievement in like 3 games is insane
Wait this ain’t Dunkey? I thought this wasn’t a “Pro Gamer” Move.
