My mother raised me as a single parent after my father had left her with three children. She sacrificed her youth, her health, her future prospects, everything for us. To raise us and give us the best life she could by the mercy of Allah. There were times when she went hungry and she wore tattered, old clothes which people ridiculed her for but she always made sure we were never without food, nice clothes or anything else we needed or wanted. I was a sick child and she ran barefoot to the hospital with me in her hands, stayed up every night taking care of me and comforted me with stories of our Prophet pbuh. she always prirotized our wants over her needs. I love her with all of my heart. She taught me about and filled my heart with love for Allah SWT and His messenger. She is my blessing and even though she was neglected her entire life and never got love from her parents or spouse, She loved and cared for us with all her heart. May Allah SWT grant our loving parents with His Jannahtul Firdous.
Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)'s mother was a widow when she was going to give birth to him(PBUH) and so she was a single mother bringing the mercy to the world to the world.
It's about making women (who have been divorced specifically) pay a price for not being in their marriages anymore. They are equated with being unchaste because they have been with a man before (even though that's not true by definition), thereby making them undesirable for remarriage. It's about blaming women for the ends of the marriages and reproaching them for having the audacity to leave a marriage that may have ended at no fault of their own. It's sinister and steeped in misogyny and often times cultural understandings about women and marriage that contradict Islam.

@Fortifier1021 Uh, no. Statements like "single motherhood is haram and is also a failure" is steeped in misogyny and deep hatred of women, without any regards or empathy for their situations. The Prophet SAW married single mothers, yet some Muslim man love to make them into pariahs.

The Bible teaches that Jesus is God's son, that he is God, that God put on human flesh and was Born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, which no man has ever done because we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, then Jesus was killed, buried and resurrected from the dead on the third day. He gave himself as the one perfect sacrifice to pay for the sins of the entire world. He defeated death for us, now those that believe in the one true God will inherit eternal life and no longer lives under the condemnation of God because He sees the blood of Jesus covering them, who mediates for us. Put your faith in Jesus and have confidence of eternal life!
