Bewafaa (transl. Unfaithful) is a 2005 Indian musical romantic drama film starring Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Sushmita Sen, Shamita Shetty and Kabir Bedi. The film is directed by Dharmesh Darshan, produced by Boney Kapoor and the music was composed by Nadeem-Shravan.

Bewafaa Movie Synopsis :
Anjali chooses to take the place of her deceased sister as Aditya's wife and his daughters' mother. But when an old flame resurfaces years later, she is confused about which way her heart must go.
बेवफा प्रेम, विश्वासघात और रिश्तों की पेचीदगी की कहानी है। यह भावनात्मक ड्रामा फिल्म साल 2005 में रिलीज़ हुई थी, जिसे धर्मेश दर्शन द्वारा निर्देशित किया गया है। इस फिल्म में अनिल कपूर, अक्षय कुमार, करीना कपूर और सुष्मिता सेन प्रमुख भूमिकाओं में हैं। फिल्म में इन किरदारों की उलझी हुई ज़िंदगियों को दिखाया गया है, जहां वे खुद के किये फैसलों और उनके परिणामों से पछताते हैं।
कहानी की शुरुआत अंजलि (करीना कपूर) से होती है, जो अपने संगीतकार प्रेमी राजा (अक्षय कुमार) से बहुत प्यार करती है। लेकिन उसकी ज़िंदगी में एक बड़ा मोड़ आता है जब उसकी बहन दो जुड़वा बच्चों को जन्म देने के बाद मौत हो जाती है। परिवार के दबाव और कर्तव्य के कारण अंजलि को आदित्य से शादी करनी पड़ती है ताकि वह बच्चों की देखभाल कर सके। हालांकि वह अपनी जिम्मेदारी को बखूबी निभाती है। इस दौरान अंजलि अपने पिछले प्रेम और वर्तमान कर्तव्यों के बीच उलझ जाती है। अंजलि के जीवन में राजा के फिर से आने से स्थिति और भी कठीन हो जाती है, जिससे वह पहले प्यार और आज के पारिवारिक जीवन में उलझती जाती है। फिल्म बेवफा ऐसा सवाल है कि क्या कोई अपने पहले प्यार को सच में भुला सकता है या अतीत हमेशा दिल में बसा रहता है?
Plot :
Anjali is the younger daughter of her Canadian-born mother and Indian father, living in Montreal, Quebec. She shares a healthy relationship with her parents and an equally loving bond with her elder sister, Aarti. Anjali develops an attraction toward a budding musician named Raja. Their acquaintance soon turns to love but Anjali keeps the relationship a secret from her parents, since Raja is not stable in his career and future as yet. Aarti assures Anjali and Raja that she will convince their parents of their true love.
Aarti is married to Aditya Sahani and the couple is expecting twins. Complications arise during the pregnancy and Aarti dies while giving birth to twin girls. While in mourning, and still unaware of her relationship with Raja, Anjali's parents suggest that she marry Aditya. Although she cannot bear the thought of being with anyone other than Raja, Anjali sacrifices her love for the sake of her nieces, marries Aditya and moves with her new family to New Delhi.
Aditya, still mourning for Aarti, is a business tycoon who hardly finds time for his sister-in-law-turned wife or his young daughters. Anjali fulfills the role of mother and wife, but cannot bridge the gap between herself and Aditya. She finds herself in a marriage that has no compatibility but only compromises. She stays in the passionless union for the sake of her nieces, whom she now considers her own.
