Pat can vibe and get along with anybody. Great dude, I don’t get how anyone could dislike him tbh. He’s the face of “new NFL media”, if you want to call it that.
I'm very similar, I can get along and find something in common with everybody. However, I have no where near the charisma or charm that Pat has. That dude is a born entertainer.
Good get Jay. McAfee is the man! I spend 3+ hrs a day listening to him, not to mention the boys on The Pod, Hammer Dahn & That’s Hockey Talk. #freegumpy
As a Packer fan, I did too! LOL! Thanks for the wins! ANYWAY! I've gained a new found respect for Jay now. Damn good dude and someone who I'd like to have some beverages with for sure.
Dude pat has no clue that he could not talk one bit about sports for 3 hours and his fans would tune in still. I’d argue I like the show a little more when it’s the off-season for football.
I hear ya and agree off-season content day in day out is solid but from September to Feb it’s electric. Plus AROD Tuesday is a classic every week but either way Pat and the boys are best thing smoking in this pod/ YT game
I loved Cutler as QB for the Bears. The expression on his face after ANOTHER F'g sack were priceless. The media would give him crap about it, but MAN 52 sacks in one season and the all time sacked QB in Chicago tells a tale. Easily half his interceptions were made ducking another out of control pass rush. Bears had a crap O-line but Jay survived. Love you man!
This was awesome. I came upon it totally randomly, I had no idea Jay even had a podcast. I was always a fan of his gunslinger mentality at QB when he was playing, regardless of the multiple INT games. Dude had a cannon for an arm and could make some ridiculous throws. I always thought he retired too soon, but it’s good to see him doing his thing now. Subscriber earned bro.
Jay didn't care about anything except his teammates and his personal self-perception.. A good thing in my opinion! Block out all the bs and noise and focus on your craft and team only. I actually was a big fan of his during his time in Chicago and was labeled as an apologist by friends and family (I didn't care about it either); Facts are facts and the stats backed it up, he was the closest thing to a Favre after he retired and a gamer (had a lot of comeback wins, game winning drives / 4th quarter rallies, and sacks taken while still breaking franchise QB records for yards, and tuddies). His toughness to me was unquestionably there, he took 9 sacks and suffered a concussion in one half of a Giants-Bears game which at the time set a record, and for three seasons had the most sacks taken in the entire League from 2009-2012.. He was throwing to subpar receivers until 2013, and behind patchwork OL's until 2016, all the while getting 6 different OCs and 3 head coaches in 8 seasons in Chicago (crazy obstacles). This is all not including the two head coaches and two OCs he had in Denver at the start of his career (where he still made his lone* Pro Bowl nomination), nor his later unretirement and subsequent last hurrah down in Miami (for another HC / OC combo; Do I hear 6 head coaches and 9 OCs?!)... NOTE: * - #6 would make another Pro Bowl as an alternate later on in his career, but he'd turn it down as well citing injuries.
Beautiful stuff. Now let's get A-Rod on "Uncut" and get some pure convo - looking back at GB-Chicago games, talk some movies, philosophy, aliens... and, if drunk/high enough, politics. Would be legendary.
I literally went to comment this, i love a podcast where both people are equally as interested in each other, not just someone tryna push their stuff. This just feels like what must happen when a couple ex NFL players start choppin it up at AJ Hawks cult events
I don’t know how I missed this when it came out but I’m super stoked my algorithm hit it today Love seeing Pat on the other side and getting to plug in with Uncut show. Win/win. I never knew Pat played volleyball at Plum high but I can just picture him full throttle out there slamming spikes and blocking like Mutumbo talking cash money to opponents 💪😎
Pat McAfee has been playing football almost his whole life... No wonder he is much better informed than most popular American pundits on European and International Football... His build is similar to those of many football players, especially those before the 2010s, that is huge and firmly built below the waist and skinny above it...
I’m just going to say it, I don’t think we truly enjoyed and appreciated Cutler, he is and will always be the man in Chicago! Will always be a fan and how when you ran, you never ducked anyone, you tucked that head to hit stick someone! BTW how come he is not in Madden ultimate team as a player? He definitely deserves to be a player you can use, because I would start him in a heart beat! Smokin’ Jay all day!
No matter what anyone says about Jay Cutler he's the man and as a Bears fan his fucking royalty best Bears qb ever if you don't think so look up the stats
Pat is the best!!! Never heard that $100 story before now that's insane!! Great podcast glad I stumbled on this one, definitely gonna be checking more out.
I think being a holder is not terrifying at all. It's not like you're a punt returner or slot over the middle before the cte bs. You would legitimately get knocked out every other game
Was always a fan of ole smokin Jay. Guy got too much hate for having a personality. He wasn't the long-term answer at QB but he was good enough to never be the problem with flashes of brilliance. Always seemed like a cool dude to me though and I enjoyed the way he addressed the media. As a Seahawks fan and having Russell Wilson always have the carefully curated answers he does, it gets tiresome. Having an actual human give a candid response to something and say some shit people don't like was awesome to see. Came for Pat McAfee, stayed for Jay, definitely subbed.
@@jhaz89 You'd only have to spen 10 minutes watching that show to see that they don't "come up with content" they just talk about whatever is in the news

Wish pat would've gone in Jay's studio. Feel like pat was almost too comfortable and almost felt like he was interviewing Jay. Great pod nonetheless, loved it
I played legion baseball against Jay. He's a freak athlete. Fast, could hit, and obviously a freak of an arm. Always was a fan of him and being a Bears fan I only liked him more, wish they would have had a better team around him.
Pat can vibe and get along with anybody. Great dude, I don’t get how anyone could dislike him tbh. He’s the face of “new NFL media”, if you want to call it that.
So true. When I see a hit piece in the media about Pat, I immediately put that author and publication on my sh1t list.
Don’t want to call it that.

Some of my favorite Pat Macafee show moments are when they have no sports to talk about
That show stinks!

The best bits of the show are when it turns in to the pod + pat and AJ. Toxicity flows like rain water then and i love it 😂
Pat is the one who does the interviewing, no matter whose show it is 😂

I think Rich Eisen did a nice job on his pod.
I think it's because pat has EQ. IQ but ofr emotion. He can sense the tension/awkwardness. I think he's subconsciously trying to keep it going

They should just let him smoke while playing. He'd have won 3 SBs
True, but the QB gets all the Blame and most of the Glory and %75 of the money.
Tough as nails in a hardwood coffin. Holds the passing record for the bears and the sacked record. It wasnt easy for him.
Good to see Jay being Jay. He was portrayed SO differently by the FAKE sports media. Very very cool dude!!!

And it ain't just the Fake Sports Media
It's also Social Media Users who parrot every narrative that'll get them attention & Likes.
