The plastic bottle is indeed a fish trap. The bottle is clear so you put some bait (usually bread) inside so the fish can see it. They then swim in the reversed neck of the bottle but cant swim out again unless they are very lucky and find the small opening where the cap goes. Fishermen use this usually to catch minnows (a type of small fish) and then in turn use the minnows as bait for bigger fish.

I don't know, maybe you would run into something blocking the way that connects the dock, but I'd love to see it tried. :) Also, I love that when you go places you give a little of the history of them.

Hey that last bit you got on the 1st place with the little draw bridge . That U shaped metal u found . It's a Clevis. They cost like 250 to 2000 depending on the type of metal. I used Grade 8 steel in the oilfields. That's what it is. Most 3 inch Clevises cost 500.oo plus. I have a tiny half inch one I use to tow cars with . Those are completely sellable after you pressure wash it off

15:42 So that bucket was down there all those years, just patiently waiting for YOU to come along and use it one last time to hold some stuff before it finally met its actual "end" of being melted back down in the metal-foundry along with your other "non-keepers" metal bits! :D

You’re correct that the long one was an(not a) eel, unfortunately the second fish wasn’t as easily recognised.!.!.!.!.

Hi Leigh, is there a good public transport system that allows you to get to all these different cities? Can you tell us what the lovely tinkle bells were, heard them a couple of times. Rosemary Perth Western Australia (70 yrs)

Hi Rosemary, yes the public transport is excellent here. The bells you heard were the ones on the big tower at the city entrance 🤙🤙

Lol you say harbor just like I do. We both say harba. My grandkids laugh at my Boston accent. I told them when they live as long as I have they will have an accent too.

This was a great video in that you showed us some of the town, gave us some of the history and explained your logic for finding sites. But why did you label it as you did since you didn't find anything unusual let alone unbelievable. Even a title like "Magnet Fishing the mouth of a 400 year old harbour" would have been more appropriate and enticing.
