Howrah to Kalka station by train (Kalka express) at night 8:55PM. You can book the ticket from IRCTC Online, the link below mentioned.

Day 3:
After reaching the Kalka, you can take the Toy train to Shimla. Book your ticket 3 months prior from the IRCTC. After reaching the Shimla take a car from the outside and reach to the hotel.
