Raymond Wave ft. Caran - Hey Dad (Piano Version)

This is one of my own personal favourites. This piano version was supposed to be on my new album, but I think it won't fit there afterall. So this is a bit different version than the one on 12 SONGS.
My dad passed away over 10 years ago and while I really would like to talk to him now, and ask a lot of questions, I am pretty sure he would be proud of me and how I've lived my life with this nuisance called Parkinson's disease. That's initially what sparked this song, he never got to see me being sick, so I can't really say how he would have taken it, would he have drawn back or reached out I'll never know, but in a way it's good that he never saw me falling ill. No parent should experience that. Hats off to my mom who is still up and running and never made a big deal out of my disease, even tho it must be very hard on her. As a parent myself, I know it would be. I hope my kids know I am and will always be proud of them, I have told them that many times, but kids tend to have this selective hearing and memory so I can never be sure. So I will tell it to them again and again.
Tell your children if your proud of them. They want to hear it, and they deserve it. Also, be proud of your parents, tell them you love and respect them if they're still around, they'll like that!
