@@BillAllenREIfunny enough the sirens on the ju87 couldn't be turned off so when in formation the sirens would just keep going off so in later variants they made them able to turn off but most pilots and crew members just Hammered them off
Fun fact. The voice on the radio giving instructions to the pilots is Michael Caine. The first clip you show is RAF fighters intercepting a bomber trying to sink a ship bringing back survivors from the beaches of Dunkirk. The RAF was operating as an air umbrella to prevent German bombers from attacking the troops on the beaches and the ships attempting to rescue them. They had parachutes. They would either attempt to ditch in the sea, or jump from the aircraft. The trouble was, the parachute could drag them down in the sea, if they did not release the harness quick enough. At the time of Dunkirk, the RAF were still flying the Vic formation, which proved to be hugely ineffective against the German finger four formations. The RAF were trained by 'manoeuvres' in a textbook, but they only work if the enemy is doing what they are meant to do in the textbook. Some RAF pilots did indeed ditch or abandon their aircraft over Dunkirk beaches, manage to get onto one of the ships back to Britain, and be up flying over Dunkirk the next day. I believe the guns on the Spitfire and Hurricane, could still be operated even without an engine.
His fuel guage dies which is why he asks his wingman about his fuel and then 'copies' 15 gallon. During the beginning of the scene you see how his fuel gauge dies, this is why he doesn't look at the gauge before the engine stall.
definitely watch the full movie, is one of my favourites. I think i remember in the movie that his fuel gage wasn't working thats why his wingman was telling him his amount of fuel.
The Ju87 Stuka have fixed landing gear, that’s why his gear is out.
Thanks for letting me know, I just read all about it!

@@ethanfranklin5847 no in later models they were entirely removed i dont know why but they were. pilots could not turn them off or on
I think it also has sirens to strike fear into the allies

Nice complete circle for Michael Caine considering one of his first movies was the battle of Britain

the plane that they intercepted over the boat is a german heinkel 111, H-6 version most likely and it was torpedoing that ship.
What movie is this!? I want to watch it
It's written in the title, and in the info.. it's Dunkirk
