Is it normal for the transfered piece of Agar to colonize itself fully before it moves onto the newer agar cup?? Noticing my agar to agar transfer is only growing mycelium in the older transfered piece of agar and not taking to the new agar dish. I'm terrible at explaining but is this normal? Does the mycelium have to fully envelope the tiny piece you transfered before it ventures off to the rest of the petri dish?
Nice. I noticed one lions main was pink and very branchy, it that from not enough FAE or humidity or both? I'm having trouble with my lions mane it never seems to develop hair/teeth/spikes.
@@Mossycreekmushroomsofficial keep em coming!, could you leave each of them linger a bit longer at the end, or all the way to the knife!? thanks, learnt lots from your videos, regards from Spain
Hi ! I have a question about the liquid culture! Can you use the spores from mushroom ,and if yes what result should I look for? I've been trying to grow mycelium from store bought mushrooms since March and still nothing 😖😩😩 I've been trying many things that I've seen online with zero results ! I'm newbie and obviously I'm doing something so wrong ! Can you help with any kind of tips. Thank you .
oooffffffffff LOVE this so fun to watch them grow. please more of these I really appreciate this prob took HOUR and HOURS of filming to make this.2 min video 😭
Hey Andrew, love your videos. I am an amateur grower at the moment but this spring plan to go commercial (very small but definitely for profit). I love the way you give tips and appreciate your willingness to help others. Keep up the good work and maybe some day we can collaborate on some videos. I'm also going head first in the "Creator" end of TH-cam. Keep up the great work! CC

wish there was a vid like this that showed cobweb mold or other contaminants growing. it would be helpful.
I'll start working on that.
Usually you notice molds by how insanely fast they grow

Sweet vid. Adds a whole new beauty to mushrooms when they feel like they're moving. Music choice is great too. What's the name of the song?
Murder, by Antisound
nice work, I'm 5 days into a agar plate timelapse myself, will probably let it go another 3 days.
Thanks! Can't wait to check out yours! You have great work yourself! Really appreciate the comment from a fellow timelapser!
I was just listening to that Queen song the other day
what kind of camera are you using for your time lapse?
What is the timeframe?

Any idea how long it takes for the agar to be fully colonized?

what's the ingredient that makes the agar blue? btw your music choice is always excelent!
food coloring? o.0

It's comb tooth, not Lions mane, that's why it's branched that way.
@@benjaminerickson645 Oh is that the bear tooth variety. Nice. How's it taste compared with lions mane?
@@engizmo It's comb tooth, we also grow bears head. Comb tooth is way sweeter and much firmer than Lions Mane.
