“IndyCar’s in big trouble. There’s not enough cars or money or sponsors” I have good news. It’s 8 years later and they’re worried about there being enough space in the pit lane to hold the number of cars expected next year. What a difference a little time can make.
“The life has been sucked out of the Indy 500 because of spec car racing” NOTHING is more true than this statement. While the 500 is doing great these days, I’d be SO happy to see something else out there competing with the DW-12
Delta wing car ain't gonna work, it's a hazard to safety, you'll have no gauge on where your rear end is (no pun intended). On a road course these cars would be disaster
Delta Wing is a great concept. I think something between the Eagle 81 (BLAT) and DW would allow the goals of low drag, low weight and stock block 4 cyl. engines to be achieved. Yeah the needle nose has racing issues for the driver to see - but the DW can race - as proven in Sports Car racing. Love the idea of more open rules - but clearly that has not played out since this segment. The manufacture aero kits failed badly because Chevy handed Honda their asses.
This was such a great show! We will miss you Robin Miller.
Windtunnel was awesome

As long as they find a big title sponsor to replace Verizon the series this may be the biggest NA series for years to come 😊 what a time to be alive!
@@marshallstanley7041 They have! NTT IndyCar Series
Rest in peace Robin.
Who could've guessed that in 2021 they would still be running the new spec Dallara from 2012.
And they will be for many many years to come…sadly
I have a hard time believing IndyCar could do anything to lose me as a fan... this sure as hell would’ve been about the only thing I can think of

I’m glad the Delta “Dong” never made it

You can see they took elements from it for Dw12

@MVPVDO ya, the answer is in NASCAR, it is can't be better than the stone age engine
Yeah I’m glad the DeltaWing didn’t race in the sport and raced in IMSA…
Groovey Baby!
The delta wing would have killed the series, that thing is hideous and wouldn't have turned well.
Man thank God that ugly concept never gained traction. Indycar would be out of business today.
Indy teams complain about Honda's engine lease of 1.2 Million. They should try Formula 1, and then see if they complain.
Thank god indycar don't go with the delta wing I hate it and it's not a racecar
@infantryofficer Still offered 110% better racing. Indycar is boring.
