Digital? Nice! Which exactly standard is this? dPMR446 or DMR Tier I? I mean can it also communicate with analog PMR446 also? Oh, saw at 09:10 the two options so I guess it's DMR Tier I standard! Very nice!
I seem to have the same issue. I can trigger the hotspot but nothing is returned to the radio. UHF analog works well. If it's not fixable back to Amazon it goes.
thanks for a video there is version of this radio 446 pmr model , can i buy it then in pc programming unlock it in 400-470 mhz ??? (for import customs issue reason) or it locked just to 446 ???
I received this radio set for 446 only, but using the software I changed it to cover the whole 70cm band as mentioned in the video. So you dont need to buy a different version, just one version which you can change with software :-)
Thanks for the video, I have 2 on order, Im hoping to be able to program them up for both PMR446 and FRS as I need to use them for two car road trips in both UK and US - and remain legal! (I appreciate that DMR is not legal on FRS at the moment). Hopefully I can work out the programming using your video. By the way, what screen capture software are you using?
Worked fine, though I did find that the audio was a little harsh on the small speaker. We had reasonable range with them line of sight we could easily get half a mile on the road which was more than enough as we were following each other.
Radioddity just released firmware version 1.06 but STILL NO FIX FOR THE SEVERE SECURITY ISSUE described long time before - namely remotely activating foreign radios and listen to other people!!!! HORRIBLE customer experience with Radioddity... they simply ignore all concerns and mails! Definatly not gonna buy from that brand anything anymore!
Can this guy be band unlocked? I want to get it mostly for listening to UHF? Does it allow out of ham band listening?

Note this is the same as the TYT MD-430.
Hi, Do you have any idea where I can purchase one of these from, as it looks like Radioddity won't ship one to the UK.
Good FRS and Digital Radio for my uses
did you try it in simplex mode, how it performance?
I don’t think I did, sorry
New revisoins have a higher capacity battery with a extra charging port on the battery
will it work on Win 7 ?

Be curious if this worked..

We had reasonable range with them line of sight we could easily get half a mile on the road which was more than enough as we were following each other.
The next trip we switched out to Retevis RT85s which were much better audio and improved range. Plus the batteries lasted several days between charge.
I was really hoping to see if this radio can have those two custom buttons programmed to be VOX on/off.
You can set one of the buttons to toggle VOX.

It's ugly. They did a poor job designing it.
