Tbh, if any of the og ninja was to become the green ninja, it would have been Zane or Cole. At the point jay and ESPECIALLY kai were not ready. They would have been impulsive about a lot of hard decisions and would have cost the team a lot of battles. I don't think Kai was ready to be the green ninja until Wyldfyre came along and made him step up

I feel like because Cole is an overly affectionate person it's hard to pinpoint who he likes romantically or not. I'm personally like Cole/Geo but I do think that most other people have proof of their ships cuz Cole is overly touchy. Like holding Geo and Vania's hands near all the time, that little hand on face rub thing he did with Nya in DR S 1. My head cannon is that after becoming a ghost he does this as a way of comfort and stability cuz he doesn't know when he will be loosing the ability to touch again.

This is a long one but in my defense I’ve had this concept in mind since 2022: I have something that is basically a more detailed version of the last hot take: adding fleshed out full oni characters like Mystake except obviously much younger. Maybe the merge created new oni by jumbling around time. Or not all the oni came to ninjago and were destroyed. Either way i think the best way to introduce them would be like they did with mystake, to introduce a supposed human that seemingly has no powers. And then gradually reveal more and more about them as they establish a bond with the ninja, until the fact they are an oni gets uncovered. It’s lightly implied that oni can sense dragon and oni blood just like dragons. So I think maybe the oni accidentally brings up that Lloyd is part oni just like Harumi did. And since the oni has been given or had memories of the oni back in the oni and dragon realm, it kicks off this whole arc, it would be really cool for the oni to be around the same age as Sora or Wyldfyre (in oni years because they probably work much differently) and is a student of Lloyd. But lloyd ends up being the one learning from them through the oni teaching him stuff about themself. learns to come to terms in a healthy way with his oni heritage by genuinely learning about positive attributes of oni. And learns how to tap into oni power, and oni form) Maybe this oni has connections to the first spinnitzu master or is even descended from the same oni parent, making them a distant cousin.
Hot take: Season 7 is good Season 11 is bad. The island is not BAD, a good little introduction to Seabound which i really adore Seabound is a gem Crystalized is overhated (though its not good either, i just think they missed a lot of potiental when writing this season, etc they could have brought nya back in the end to help fight the ninja with the overload that would have been super cool) Dragons rising is overhated S2 Part 2 is a gem.

The only one I really disagree with his that Nya would be better evil. I just don't think DR would have done Jay more Justice than what they are doing. He is just such a woos so often, and he's my favorite, so you know they're really failing him. Crystallized had good ideas and plot points, they were just done poorly. Such as ninja on the run, Harumi coming back, council of the crystal king, dragon forms and oni Lloyd.
Hot Take: Some of Ninjago's recent new Villains are much better than the classic Villains (Classic Villains: These Villains appear from Season 1 to Season 7) Another Hot Take is that, instead of introducing new Threats, Ninjago should use/reuse villains they have at their disposal (The Mechanic being one of the examples of this)
Hot Take: The Final Battle and Season 2 of the original series is the most overrated part of Ninjago. The Final Battle is just Lloyd flying around, being eaten by The Overlord and then The Overlord dies. It’s kinda underwhelming for what was hyped up to be the big climatic final battle back in the day. Most of Season 2 is either filler or not interesting.

Cole doesn't have to be gay to like Geo, he can be bisexual, have liked Vania but not been with her but have started to like Geo. Some people simply forget that bisexuality is a possibility. Cleo isn't exactly canon i guess hes like the new jay they are just really good friends and zane sacrificing himself was useless because he just came right back and looked worse if they could have did a plot twist where we doctor Julian was still alive he would be able to repair him and master chen could have just kidnapped both of them the whole titanium idea was the worst thing Tommy andreson could think of
My hot take is if/when Morro returns he possesses Euphrasia and becomes the voice in her head that guides her to victory and later on it is revealed that he possesed her and he becomes a mentor to Euphrasia teaching her the ways of the wind and how to fight properly. Yes i do think Euphrasia is bad at hand to hand combat, like she got smoked by Cinder on her own turf in the could kingdom, plus her use of her elemental abilities are quite poor and basic/simple. So a proper mentor would be a good idea. Another hot take: A guy that used to rule the elemental powers of wind, water, lightning and everything else in a storm would return to Ninjago and reclaim his used to be powers and become the Master of The Storm and have like a giant fort either in the coulds or hidden in a terrible storm floating on the water. And yet another hot take: Season 11 was the final straw, after season 10 when the ninja defeated the oni, that should've litterally been the last of conflict, if they had left ninjago how it was and not expanded on it except for legacy maybe, then ninjago could've aged like wine, maybe fine wine, but atleast decent wine. Plus when eradicating the litteral incarnation of evil for the third time (The Overlord, Crystal King or Dark Lord) you would expect all conflict to be eradicated. But noo, everything was just so incredibly profitable so they rebooted it for a third time. Now garmadon is missing, Jay is evil, Cole is cole (And maybe gay, i dont discriminate but i think cole should've stayed with vania and helped raise the next elemental master of earth instead of dying of old age with no next person to inherit his powers and let fate decide who get's them, no thought about an evil guy getting the powers. Nope not at all. I have a problem where i keep yapping and yapping, plus i have a thing where i can talk about one thing and change the subject really easily and smoothly. Ok HOT HOT take there is a huge chunk of the ninjago fandom that is way too toxic and obsessed with the old show. It was amazing yes, but dragons rising is better on nearly every level, and the changes made like Geo and Cole should stick around. Change is a part of life and if you don’t like it, then maybe it’s time to let Ninjago go. They're doing huge amounts for representation in the show, but in the grand scheme of things these changes arent massive. A flag here and there, a scene where Cole and Geo smile at eachother, yet there’s so many self proclaimed fans that think this is the end of the world when their fun kids show about brightly coloured ninja has a flag in it.

My personal hot takes 1: I feel like it would’ve been skibiti to expand a bit more on some of the earlier season villains a lot more for me It felt like Arcturus was underdeveloped and could’ve done more before killing him off (still a badass villain though) 2: we should’ve had more screen time of the elemental masters from chens game it would’ve been cool to get more screen time and expand on the dynamics between them since we got invested in them in season 4 but never saw them again for multiple seasons

Not sure if this is a hot take: Evil Jay should not be the Master of Lightning anymore, because Lightning has become more yellow than blue, while Jay's color scheme became darker, so I think Jay should become the Master of Storm (The Island/Wojira), which would fit with the expected Storm theme of DR Season 3. And Storm like the power we saw in The Island and Seabound is just darker lightning. Darker Jay, Darker Lightning.
Hot take: Dragons Rising is amazing and should definitely continue. A lot of people don’t like it for some reason because old Ninjago is better. Old Ninjago is obviously the best of all time, but that doesn’t mean Dr can’t live up to be that good.

Here are a few hot takes Cole and Vania are just friends. There is nothing in season 13 that implies that they're anything more than that unlike with Cole and Geo. Also, Vania is confirmed to be 18 and Cole is at least 3 or 4 years older than her. The Fire Chapter is better than the Ice Chapter. While definitely not one of my favorite seasons, the Fire Chapter is just a really fun and more laid-back season that you can simply sit down and enjoy. Its biggest crime is that it comes immediately after Ninjago's 3 darkest seasons. The Ice Chapter on the other hand is the messiest season with so much wasted potential. You're telling me that Zane spent 60 years in the never realm while the rest of the ninja spent at the very least 2 weeks there even though they arrived only about a day after Zane did. And we all know how they wasted the evil Zane plot. Lloyd shouldn't get a love interest. Not every single character in fiction needs to have romantic feelings for someone else and Lloyd already has so much to deal with right now he really does not at all need one. Also, Lloyd and Akita probably couldn't happen because Akita is most likely dead, and you can thank the Ice Chapter's bad writing for that. I really liked this video. You really feel like just some guy who's not trying to be professional and just wants to talk about Ninjago and Transformers.

I feel like because Cole is an overly affectionate person it's hard to pinpoint who he likes romantically or not. I'm personally like Cole/Geo but I do think that most other people have proof of their ships cuz Cole is overly touchy. Like holding Geo and Vania's hands near all the time, that little hand on face rub thing he did with Nya in DR S 1. My head cannon is that after becoming a ghost he does this as a way of comfort and stability cuz he doesn't know when he will be loosing the ability to touch again.

This is a long one but in my defense I’ve had this concept in mind since 2022: I have something that is basically a more detailed version of the last hot take: adding fleshed out full oni characters like Mystake except obviously much younger. Maybe the merge created new oni by jumbling around time. Or not all the oni came to ninjago and were destroyed. Either way i think the best way to introduce them would be like they did with mystake, to introduce a supposed human that seemingly has no powers. And then gradually reveal more and more about them as they establish a bond with the ninja, until the fact they are an oni gets uncovered. It’s lightly implied that oni can sense dragon and oni blood just like dragons. So I think maybe the oni accidentally brings up that Lloyd is part oni just like Harumi did. And since the oni has been given or had memories of the oni back in the oni and dragon realm, it kicks off this whole arc, it would be really cool for the oni to be around the same age as Sora or Wyldfyre (in oni years because they probably work much differently) and is a student of Lloyd. But lloyd ends up being the one learning from them through the oni teaching him stuff about themself. learns to come to terms in a healthy way with his oni heritage by genuinely learning about positive attributes of oni. And learns how to tap into oni power, and oni form) Maybe this oni has connections to the first spinnitzu
master or is even descended from the same oni parent, making them a distant cousin.

Hot Take: The Final Battle and Season 2 of the original series is the most overrated part of Ninjago. The Final Battle is just Lloyd flying around, being eaten by The Overlord and then The Overlord dies. It’s kinda underwhelming for what was hyped up to be the big climatic final battle back in the day. Most of Season 2 is either filler or not interesting.

My hot take is if/when Morro returns he possesses Euphrasia and becomes the voice in her head that guides her to victory and later on it is revealed that he possesed her and he becomes a mentor to Euphrasia teaching her the ways of the wind and how to fight properly. Yes i do think Euphrasia is bad at hand to hand combat, like she got smoked by Cinder on her own turf in the could kingdom, plus her use of her elemental abilities are quite poor and basic/simple. So a proper mentor would be a good idea.
Another hot take: A guy that used to rule the elemental powers of wind, water, lightning and everything else in a storm would return to Ninjago and reclaim his used to be powers and become the Master of The Storm and have like a giant fort either in the coulds or hidden in a terrible storm floating on the water.
And yet another hot take: Season 11 was the final straw, after season 10 when the ninja defeated the oni, that should've litterally been the last of conflict, if they had left ninjago how it was and not expanded on it except for legacy maybe, then ninjago could've aged like wine, maybe fine wine, but atleast decent wine. Plus when eradicating the litteral incarnation of evil for the third time (The Overlord, Crystal King or Dark Lord) you would expect all conflict to be eradicated. But noo, everything was just so incredibly profitable so they rebooted it for a third time. Now garmadon is missing, Jay is evil, Cole is cole (And maybe gay, i dont discriminate but i think cole should've stayed with vania and helped raise the next elemental master of earth instead of dying of old age with no next person to inherit his powers and let fate decide who get's them, no thought about an evil guy getting the powers. Nope not at all.

Ok HOT HOT take there is a huge chunk of the ninjago fandom that is way too toxic and obsessed with the old show. It was amazing yes, but dragons rising is better on nearly every level, and the changes made like Geo and Cole should stick around. Change is a part of life and if you don’t like it, then maybe it’s time to let Ninjago go.
They're doing huge amounts for representation in the show, but in the grand scheme of things these changes arent massive. A flag here and there, a scene where Cole and Geo smile at eachother, yet there’s so many self proclaimed fans that think this is the end of the world when their fun kids show about brightly coloured ninja has a flag in it.
fr dragons rising isnt even that bad, s2 part 2 was great. at first i didnt really like them adding new characters but after taking a break to watch the first 2 seasons, they were pretty good, people are just rude for no reason is. they are either people who use "nolsagia" for an excuse or smth different idk

My personal hot takes 1: I feel like it would’ve been skibiti to expand a bit more on some of the earlier season villains a lot more for me It felt like Arcturus was underdeveloped and could’ve done more before killing him off (still a badass villain though) 2: we should’ve had more screen time of the elemental masters from chens game it would’ve been cool to get more screen time and expand on the dynamics between them since we got invested in them in season 4 but never saw them again for multiple seasons

Not sure if this is a hot take: Evil Jay should not be the Master of Lightning anymore, because Lightning has become more yellow than blue, while Jay's color scheme became darker, so I think Jay should become the Master of Storm (The Island/Wojira), which would fit with the expected Storm theme of DR Season 3. And Storm like the power we saw in The Island and Seabound is just darker lightning. Darker Jay, Darker Lightning.

1) The s3 love triangle should have never happened it could of even be replaced with something else like Kai being an overprotective big brother to Nya so he and Jay fought a lot about it, I know the love triangle was important for Jay's and Cole's friendship especially in s4 but they could of done something different
2) Cole being gay or bi won't ruin his character, I've seen so many comments on Geode tiktoks or videos complaining about how Cole is ruined, what happened to OG Cole and what happened to Vania or the love triangle and him liking Nya even though Tommy Andreasen confirmed Cole was confused and liked the attention Nya was giving him and Doc Wyatt confirmed that Cole and Vania are just friends and I don't think people understand that, It's okay to have your ships but don't hate on other people's ships with no good reason, not to mention Zane's, Jay's and Nya's characters weren't ruined from getting into a relationship so Cole's shouldn't either doesn't matter if he's with a man or not

I don't think Lloyd is a bad master,just not perfect,he helped sora win the tournament of the sources and she's progressing in spinjitzu. Arin was learning under Lloyd's teachings,I just don't think Lloyd know how to make arin relearn his self taught spinjitzu, and arin's downfall was mostly his own fault since he let himself get tricked by Ras and he let his insecurities consume him, unlike Lloyd,who overcomes them,and becomes a better master as a result

Cole and Vania are just friends. There is nothing in season 13 that implies that they're anything more than that unlike with Cole and Geo. Also, Vania is confirmed to be 18 and Cole is at least 3 or 4 years older than her.
The Fire Chapter is better than the Ice Chapter. While definitely not one of my favorite seasons, the Fire Chapter is just a really fun and more laid-back season that you can simply sit down and enjoy. Its biggest crime is that it comes immediately after Ninjago's 3 darkest seasons. The Ice Chapter on the other hand is the messiest season with so much wasted potential. You're telling me that Zane spent 60 years in the never realm while the rest of the ninja spent at the very least 2 weeks there even though they arrived only about a day after Zane did. And we all know how they wasted the evil Zane plot.
Lloyd shouldn't get a love interest. Not every single character in fiction needs to have romantic feelings for someone else and Lloyd already has so much to deal with right now he really does not at all need one. Also, Lloyd and Akita probably couldn't happen because Akita is most likely dead, and you can thank the Ice Chapter's bad writing for that.

Season 11 is bad.
The island is not BAD, a good little introduction to Seabound which i really adore
Seabound is a gem
Crystalized is overhated (though its not good either, i just think they missed a lot of potiental when writing this season, etc they could have brought nya back in the end to help fight the ninja with the overload that would have been super cool)
Dragons rising is overhated
S2 Part 2 is a gem.
