    I wish you had taught me geometry, maths and drawing in school - I might actually have learned something!! Thank you so much for these, your instructions are clear and easy to learn and I love trying out the patterns.

    I've been using your videos to teach my middle school art classes how to do celtic knots. They LOVE it! They have so much success using your methods! THANK YOU for taking a difficult subject and making it easy!

      I'm so pleased that you found them useful, Pam!
      Say hello to the kids from me! ;-)
      Have a look at some of my designs on the playlist called Freehand Space-filling Patterns - kids love these too, especially the square spirals.

      Do some on your own! Mr. NIcholls directions are easy to follow and you can stop the video (or go back) as you go along. It is so worth it! I have 4th and 5th graders as well as older students doing all sorts of complicated designs! And when they color and shade them, it gets even better! So much fun!

      Thanks again,

    Excellent videos. I'm starting going through Euclid's "Elements" (again) next week to commemorate turning 45, and these are a real motivator. Thanks alot.

    My Mommy says I have to wait until I am 18 months old to have a Sharp-Sharp made from real Adult Metal, by then my Brother will be a whole year old! We are planning to open a Tattoo Parlor in your Hometown since it is already popular there. Thanks for the Tip! signed: Baby Huey and his brother Wrinkles

    Hi David...I'm wondering if there really are 'rules' with where you can put break lines. I'm trying to do a 4 x 13 grid and use someone's name for the break lines. I'm struggling with it and thinking that possibly there really are some impossible situations!

    • @differous01
      @differous01 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      4x any number is problematic, but one solution is to extend the grid to give yourself more wiggle room. By shading/colouring David's design 4 (in this series) we can see an interlaced X and an O from a 3x3 grid. Placing L shaped break lines at its corners, and extending the grid up and down to 5 or 7 you could create something like the carpet near the end of video 14, with a continuous ribbon interlacing stand-alone letters.

      Sort of. A trequetra is a trefoil with a circle inside
