IHHP | Abergowrie NAIDOC 2019 Dance Project

Ihhp team Jess, Billy, Creedence & Brayden had the absolute pleasure of working with the young men from St Teresa's College in Abergowrie in rural north Queensland as part of the lead up and celebration of their annual NAIDOC day event. St Teresa's College is a Catholic all male boarding school where students board from remote communities all across Australia to complete their education with an inclusion of the creative arts, sport and extra curriculum activities as part of a rounded education.
The week leading up to the NAIDOC celebrations saw the young men complete dance workshops each day in their year levels and were tested with self confidence, breaking down their external barriers and being free to move as individuals and as groups for their routines. The end goal and result was their performance as a united team on the day of the NAIDOC event for all schools, friends and families.
